X-Country Club has been popular this term, with 90 students enrolled. The school campus has been buzzing on Tuesday mornings, with students flexing their running abilities across a course set out by Mrs Coulson.
The students participated with great enthusiasm and energy, perhaps encouraged by the enticing aroma of freshly cooked bacon and egg rolls.
Thank you to the phenomenal group of parent helpers who have arrived early each morning to set up and cook 90 hot breakfasts! Thank you for your support, time and energy!

The Year 12 Formation Day provided an important opportunity for students to step away from their usual routines and reflect on their final year of schooling. The day was intentionally designed to encourage personal growth, strengthen connections within the Year 12 cohort, and deepen students' understanding of service, leadership, and community.
A central focus of the day is service to the wider College community. Students engaged in a range of meaningful activities that support the LJBC Church, Primary School, and College staff. Through these experiences, students will be encouraged to live out the LJBC values of Justice, Mercy, Wisdom, and Humility, recognising the importance of contributing to others and leading with generosity, compassion, and respect.
The day also played an important role in creating a positive, supportive, and unified Year 12 community as students approach their final semester of secondary schooling. It provides students with an opportunity to reflect on the legacy they wish to leave as the graduating Class of 2026.

There’s no place like home… and there’s no place like being part of a cast.
Our Wizard of Oz cast are proudly wearing their production shirts as they count down to opening night. More than just a shirt, it represents months of rehearsals, commitment and lots of memorable moments along the way.
At LJBC, opportunities in the Performing Arts help students grow in confidence, creativity and teamwork while building connections that often last well beyond the final curtain call.
We can't wait to see these talented students bring Oz to life on stage.

The Lake Joondalup Baptist College Year 5/6 Girls A Team represented LJBC exceptionally well recently, showing fantastic teamwork and togetherness across all Football matches. The girls continued to improve throughout the competition and should be very proud of the way they competed, supported one another and represented the College.
LJBC started strongly with a 4-1 win against South Coast in the quarter final, before narrowly losing 3-2 to Burns Beach in a very competitive semi-final. The girls then showed great resilience in the 3rd place play-off against Aubin Grove, drawing 2-2 in normal time before winning on penalties to finish 3rd in the State.
A special mention must go to Lottie, who scored an outstanding 7 goals on the night, and to Sydney, who is a newcomer to the goalkeeper position but continues to go from strength to strength. Sydney made some excellent saves throughout the evening, including important penalty saves in the shoot-out.
Finishing 3rd in the State is a fantastic achievement for the girls and a great reflection of their hard work, attitude and development throughout the competition.

Our Year 11 students are currently out on a wide range of work placements across industries including electrical, construction, plumbing, fitness, education and health care.
Isla is one of our students completing a Certificate III in Education Support and is spending two weeks assisting in a Year 2 classroom at LJBC. Today, students were busy making some very yummy pizzas together. Having been part of the LJBC community herself since Year 2, it has been special to see Isla now supporting younger students in the same environment that helped shape her own journey.
At LJBC, we are committed to providing students with meaningful pathways and real-world experiences that help prepare them for life beyond school.

At Lake Joondalup Baptist College, learning extends beyond the classroom and into opportunities that prepare students for life beyond school. Our Year 11 Certificate II in Sports Coaching gives students practical skills, confidence and real-world experience while developing their ability to lead and support others.
Students can assist in community sport, coach younger athletes and take their first steps toward future qualifications. For students with aspirations in the sporting industry, this course can also open doors to future pathways in coaching, officiating and the wider professional world of sport. It provides a strong foundation for students who are passionate about making a positive impact through sport.

Our Year 10 students spent this week on an Outdoor Education camp, challenging themselves, building friendships and creating amazing memories!
Students abseiled in Calgardup Cave, explored underground caves and completed sections of the Cape to Cape Track, encouraging one another through every challenge and gaining much greater confidence and determination.
At Lake Joondalup Baptist College, this is an important part of a student's journey. Outdoor Education allows students to grow, develop independence and discover what they are capable of beyond the classroom.
It was great to see our young people strengthen connections with their fellow students and embrace every experience with positivity.
