Our ASC Junior children turned ordinary rocks into colourful little masterpieces during this week's Rock Painting activity!
Using bright colours, patterns, and their own creative ideas, each child designed a unique rock that reflected their imagination and personality.

Activities like this encourage creativity, fine motor skills, and self-expression, while giving children the opportunity to slow down, explore, and enjoy the creative process together.
It's amazing to see how something as simple as a rock can inspire so much imagination!

Pyjama Day Fun Across Every Room! 🌙🧸

Last Friday was all about cosy PJs, big smiles, and non-stop fun as we celebrated our in-house Pyjama Day! 💤✨

Our Centre transformed into a sea of colourful pyjamas, creating the warmest, most relaxed atmosphere for the day. From sharing special PJ picnics with friends to diving into exciting room activities, every group celebrated in their own unique way. 🥪🎨

It was a wonderful day full of laughter, imagination, and snuggled-up connections between children, peers, and educators—a perfect little break from our usual routine! 💖

Celebrating NAIDOC Week Across Every Room ❤️💛🖤 ⭐

Throughout NAIDOC Week, every room at Shining Kidz came together to explore and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in meaningful and age-appropriate ways.

From handprint art and dot painting to nature weaving, Dreaming symbols, and collaborative displays, children across all age groups engaged in a variety of creative experiences inspired by First Nations culture and storytelling 🌿

Each room explored the theme in their own unique way, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and conversations about culture, respect, and connection to Country.

It has been wonderful to see our learning environments transformed by the children’s beautiful artwork and thoughtful creations, celebrating one of the world’s oldest continuing cultures ❤️💛🖤

Who knew washing toy cars could be this much fun?✨

Our children had a fantastic time turning the outdoor area into a mini car wash using shaving cream! They scrubbed, washed, rinsed, and watched their cars become squeaky clean while enjoying a rich sensory experience.

Through hands-on play, children explored different textures, strengthened their fine motor skills, and used their imagination to create their own little car wash adventures.
There were plenty of smiles, conversations, teamwork, and of course... lots of bubbly fun! 🫧

Sometimes, the simplest activities create the biggest learning moments.

When Learning Explodes Into Fun 🌋💥
Our Kindy children became little scientists as they worked together to create their very own volcano in the sandpit

Using sand, baking soda, and vinegar, the children took turns adding ingredients and eagerly watched as the volcano fizzed, bubbled, and erupted with ”lava“ 🌋

There were lots of excited faces, predictions, and discussions as children explored cause and effect through hands-on learning.

Moments like these spark curiosity, encourage teamwork, and make learning unforgettable 🤍
