While I take a little break from filming my setups, I thought I’d share some quiet highlights from last week’s session 🤍🌱

The wooden waterways and water wheel have become a part of almost every session. They’re simple, beautiful and always invite a moment of focus or wonder 💧

Then there are the pieces I save for something special. The frogs. The playdough rollers. The flower stones. Those little extras that turn a setup into something a bit magical ✨

This book gets me every time. The first time I read “Look at the Mess That We Made”, I cried in front of my whole class 💔

It’s a powerful story and a beautiful starting point for meaningful play

I used the sensory base we made earlier in the week, added a few of the animals from the story, and tucked in an old net. I scattered little bits of rubbish from around the house and we spoke about the ocean, the animals, and what happens when we don’t take care of our environment 🌊

We talked about where our rubbish should go and how even small choices can make a difference for our oceans and the creatures living in them ♻️

A simple setup with a big message. The kind of learning that stays 💛

I’ve definitely got my money’s worth out of these frogs 🐸
for the spam 😂 I absolutely love how colourful they are and how much play they inspire.

This time I tried something a little different with the ice bowl. I used old flowers to create lily pads, then added them to a tray with potion powder, water, fallen branches from a tree and all the good stuff. Think bubbling test tubes, squirty pipettes, flower bits and of course… frogs.

Simple setup, so much discovery.
