Beautifully demonstrating the Plié Press on the reformer. This exercise is a great example of why I love the reformer so much.
The Reformer machine is a type of Pilates equipment we have to offer at Studio108. The machine can add extra to support for those who need it or would like it so you can still get as much out of an exercise decreased pain. As well as make it harder for those who are ready and want yo push themselves.
This exercise is specifically for hip and glute strength, but if you stop across you can see all the other things that are worked at the same time, such as your core stabilise and balance as well as the upper back muscles to maintain good posture.
This exercise is one I recommend to so many clients!
Anke is a dancer and this is helping her balance and control for pointe.
For horse riders, this makes you engage your core while your legs move independently training you better balance on your horse during all disciplines, even those of us who ride for fun. And golfers, this helps you to maintain your balance for the backswing as well as generate power through impact.
