A room full of ideas, questions and possibilities 👏

Our latest workshop, facilitated by Tracy, brought together participants both face-to-face and online to learn more about what it takes to start and run a business.

It’s a chance to build practical knowledge, ask the questions that matter and get a clearer picture of whether self-employment is the right next step.

Great to see another group getting involved and exploring where their ideas could take them!

What a turnout at the Ellenbrook Expo! 👏

It was great to spend the day meeting people from across the local community, making meaningful connections with community organisations and speaking with people considering starting their own business.

For those with an idea but unsure where to begin, we were able to provide some direction and talk through the support available through Self-Employment Assistance.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a conversation. It was fantastic to see so much interest in self-employment within the community.

After recovering from injury and multiple surgeries, the founder of A Brush with Fun was inspired to help others discover the healing power of creativity.

With support from the Self-Employment Assistance Programme, Kate turned her vision into a growing creative wellbeing studio that provides art-based programs, educational tutoring, and support for people experiencing disability, injury, psychosocial challenges, and social isolation.

Today, A Brush with Fun continues to grow, build community partnerships, and make a positive difference in the lives of many across Mandurah.

This wonderful event brings joy and wonder to special needs and disadvantaged children right here in WA, while raising vital funds for Neuromuscular WA, Life Education WA, and other local Rotary projects.
