Most of us assume our daughters are using AI for homework. A summary of a chapter. A maths problem explained a different way.
New research from the eSafety Commissioner suggests we may be asking about the wrong thing. Of the Australian children surveyed who have used AI, 54% have used it for personal or social reasons. They are asking it about friendships, about their health, and about how they feel.
In her latest blog, Principal Jennifer Oaten looks at why AI can feel like an easier place to ask a hard question, what it cannot do, and the practical things families can do so that it is not the easiest place for their daughter to turn.
