✨Applied Art - Cute Overload: Tokyo Drift✨

We're back with a brand new course that continues to explore the world of CUTE!

Fans of our Cute Overload and 2 Cute 2 Overload courses are in for a treat, as we offer a range of brand new, super-adorable activities in Cute Overload: Tokyo Drift. This course will focus on wearable accessories. Over two big days, we'll be making keychains, hairclips and badges as we learn how to needle-felt, sculpt with polymer clay and make detailed pom-pom creations.

Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.

All materials and an afternoon tea fruit platter will be provided for each day. Please bring a nut free snack and lunch as well as a water bottle.

✨Junior Art - 2 Cute 2 Overload with Elizabeth Marruffo✨

That's right! By popular demand we've produced the sequel to Cute Overload!
(Note: you don't have to have done the first workshop to take part in this one)

And just like every good sequel, we've included more activities, more characters and more CUTENESS!

This holidays in Junior Art we will be taking a deep dive into the world of the adorable to distill the formula for what makes cute things EXTREMELY cute!

Across two big days we’ll be analysing the masters of cute – like Sanrio, Miffy and Pusheen. By studying the formula for cute we will draw, paint and design our way through a range of delightful projects. We'll also be needle-felting and making adorable pom-pom characters.

We will use the cute-formula we’ve studied to design our very own unique characters that we’ll make paintings of.

Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.

All materials and an afternoon tea fruit platter will be provided for each day. Please bring a nut free snack and lunch as well as a water bottle.

✨Comic Quest - Wings of Fire✨

Join us on a two day deep-dive as we celebrate the majesty and the drama of the modern classic, Wings of Fire.
Illustrated by Mike Holmes and Maarta Laiho from the novel series by Tui T. Sutherland.

Over two action-packed days, students will be mentored as they develop their very own, short, Wings of Fire comic. We will explore character design, write stories with clear structures as well as study character motivation and how to express it through illustration. At the end, students should have a mini-comic of their own to take home.

This project will help develop story telling skills, imagination and technical drawing skills.

No prior experience is necessary and this two-day workshop is perfect for those bursting at the seams with ideas and stories to tell.

Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.

✨Applied Art - Maria Merian's Magical Metamorphosis✨

Join us for Applied Art as we explore the incredible discoveries and artworks of German naturalist, scientific illustrator and explorer, Maria Sibylla Merian.

Merian was known far and wide for her detailed and accurate representations of the natural world. From humble caterpillars to dazzling butterflies, from unassuming eggs to extravagant birds, from seed to flower and flower to fruit - Merian’s work is beautiful as well as being instructive about the life cycles of the natural world

Using a range of textile processes we will sculpt creatures from these life cycles that can live in a specimen jar. On top of these specimen jars we will let our imaginations run wild as we embroider and stitch to create the magical dream world we imagine the inhabitant might have.

Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.

✨October Holiday Workshops✨

We're back with another jam-packed holiday program full of creative adventures and imaginative explorations! Two big new comic workshops are on offer, celebrating the incredible worlds of Dog Man and Wings of Fire, which we're excited to share with everyone.

Our Term 3 courses start tomorrow, but there's still time to enrol!

Across our other courses for Term 3, our Junior Art, Applied Art and Advanced Art courses are taking a deep dive into the spellbinding world of scientific illustrator, Maria Merian, as we explore the natural world of plants and insects.

In our brand-new course, Cute Club we will be exploring the explosively cute and irresistible world of Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends!

In Comic Quest, we will be imagining the future in our Cyber Punk course, in Manga Club we will be charmed by the magical adventures of Witch Hat Atelier and in Comic Mentoring we will continue to empower students as they create their own stories.
