We played a word family game called The Shower Shuffle where kids had to read words in the ap, at, and an word families and sort the word cards based on the ending sound.

"Aspire to inspire before we expire." We played a rhyming game called A Funny Bunny. Children had to look for a rhyming picture to color.

Children found 10 pairs of mittens on their table and had to match between the ten frame and its numbers. When they complete the activity independently, they were very proud of themselves!Success!!

I read My Lucky Day by Keiko Kasza, a story about a pig and a fox and talked about the sequence of events in the story by reviewing a variety of illustrations and putting them in the same order as they happened in the book. We wrote the numbers 1-5 on each illustration and then used these pictures to make our
own pig book.

End of Term 1 2022.

I talked to the kids about what the words “greater” and “less” means and what makes a number greater than and less than. Then I introduced them to Archie the Alligator and explained that Archie is a big hungry alligator and he likes to chomp the greater number.

"Understanding of life begins with the understanding of patterns. We started class with a Pattern Activity. I put a pattern of objects on the floor. The kids were asked to complete the next section of the pattern before entering class. Next, they used Ponies and Pipe Cleaners to create patterns while working on number recognition.
After reading The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, we talked about how we feel when we have to leave our mom and go to school. Then we traced our hand and cut it out. When the hand was opened it made a heart shape
in the middle. Each child wrote their name and age on the hands and the name of someone they love in the middle of the heart.

"Time will tell. Time is always telling. Time never stops telling." The kids was introduced how to read the time and then asked to match the clock picture cards with the corresponding analog time card.
