"The Skipper"

Toroa IV was built by, "The Skipper," Paul Schapper and his father, Henry Schapper in the backyard of the Karinyup family home. A family legacy, which has continued to grow since the 1970's

Fremantle Sailing Club has been the home of Toroa IV since 2002

The first three Toroas were dinghys sailed from Nedlands Yacht Club, by Paul and his brother, Derek... A Pelican, Kitty Cat & Cherub.

Three of the four Toroas were also family built. The only one not to be built by the family, was commissioned to be built by Laurie Chivers, of Chivers Marine, when they were operating out of Nedlands Yacht Club... Many, many moons ago.
