The WA Young Artists Chamber Music Program (WAYACHAMP) was established in 2011 to provide a unique opportunity for music students aged 10 to 17 to participate in an intensive course of chamber music study under the tutelage of Western Australia’s leading string and piano teachers. Chamber music plays an important role in facilitating and fostering the careers of many young musicians. In its unique
form, chamber music provides an opportunity for young musicians to explore the ‘nexus between the spirit of collaboration and the expertise of the individual performance’. (Chamber Music Australia)
