✨We would LOVE your help! ✨

Our beautiful garden wall at the main school site is ready to come to life, and we would love your help to fill it!

We are seeking donations of small herbs and sensory plants to create a vibrant, interactive garden for our students to enjoy. We are hoping to collect around 50 small potted plants (similar in size to those shown in the photos) that will fit perfectly into the garden wall.

If you have a herb or sensory plant to share, simply:
🪴Deliver it directly to the garden wall at the main school site
🪴Pop into the school office to collect a label to decorate
🪴Write the name of your plant on the label and, if you’d like, include the name of your family so we can celebrate your generous contribution.

Every donated plant will help create a colourful, fragrant and engaging space for our students to explore and enjoy. Whether it’s rosemary, mint, lavender, thyme, lemon balm or another sensory favourite, every contribution is appreciated.

Thank you for helping our school garden grow, one plant at a time!

Join our Green Warrior Team for Semester 2. Green Warrior Club is open to students in Years 1–6.

Green Warriors will learn about the many ways our school cares for the environment and help with the important day-to-day jobs that keep our sustainability programs running.

If you would like to be part of the Green Warrior Team at MLPS, please complete the application form available in the Front Office and return to Mrs Praizelin in Room 11 by the end of Week 4, Term 3.

Do you have pre-loved costumes you'd like to pass on?

With the Book Week parade just around the corner on Friday, 21 August, and as an extension of the popular MLPS Costume Swap page, our P&C are holding a Pre-loved Costume POP UP STALL! Students will be able to pick up a last-minute costume for a gold coin.

Proceeds to go to in Malaga.

We would love any donations of pre-loved costumes for this Pop Up stall and this is an opportunity for families to clear out the dress-up box, de-clutter and pay it forward to a great cause.

Donations can be dropped off at the Administration Office anytime from Monday, 3 August.

On Wednesday, our Pre-primary - Year 6 students were treated to an incredible performance by the Moortidj Mob from , who captivated everyone with their energy, confidence and engaging celebration of Aboriginal culture through music, dance and storytelling.

Students enthusiastically joined in, learning and connecting with important cultural perspectives in a fun and meaningful way. The experience fostered respect, understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture across our school community.

A huge thank you to Moortidj Mob for sharing their talents and inspiring our students through such a vibrant and educational performance. 🖤💛❤️

Faction Carnival morning training has officially begun and will continue through to Week 6!

🏃 Training Schedule:

* Years 1–5 students are welcome to attend training on their designated Faction day.
* Year 6 students will train together as a year group.

Morning training is optional and will be held from 8:00 am – 8:30 am.

We look forward to seeing our students building their skills, confidence, and team spirit in the lead-up to Carnival! 💙💛❤️💚

Applications received after this date may not be able to be considered.

During the April/May holidays, Mr Noah Green travelled to Singapore to coach a 14U baseball team at the Lion City Invitational Tournament, where teams from across the Asia-Pacific competed. After an outstanding tournament, his team claimed the Gold Medal, losing just one game.

Adding to the celebrations, former Mount Lawley Primary School student Charlie represented the 12U team, helping his side secure the Bronze Medal with excellent performances throughout the tournament.

We are incredibly proud of Mr Green and Charlie for representing our school, Western Australia and Australia with such skill, sportsmanship and dedication.

Congratulations on your fantastic achievements! 👏⚾

🌟 Great Work from Room 20 🌟

Ms Taylor sent some Pre-primary students from Room 20 to show Mr Lawson their excellent work, after independently writing their recounts of their visit to the Scitech Discovery Centre yesterday.

We are so proud of their effort, enthusiasm, and the wonderful way they reflected on their learning.

Well done, Room 20! Keep up the amazing work! 👏📚✨
