📚🐝 BOOK WEEK SPECIALS AT THE HIVE CANTEEN! 🐝📚

This week on 17, 19 and 21 August, books are coming to life through food at the Canteen! We have put together an amazing, fun filled menu to celebrate Book Week with our students.

✨ GOLDEN TICKET SURPRISE ✨ Kids keep an eye out in your lunch bags this week! Golden tickets will be hidden inside random orders each day, and anyone who finds one will win a delicious frozen treat! 🍦🎉

For our daily lunch specials for $6, we have Monday 17th Meatball Pasta Twirls, Wednesday 19th Bluey’s Backyard Fried Rice with a crispy spring roll, and Friday 21st is Hot Diggity Hot Dogs (vegetarian option available) 🍝 🍚 🌭

We also have some fantastic recess specials running all week, Fish Fingers served with tomato sauce for $2.50 and Mini Banana Muffins for $1.50 🍌

Last Friday, the canteen hit over 120 lunch orders, and with a few of our regular volunteers away, it was a super busy day doing it solo! We are looking to build a list of backup helpers we can call on when extra hands are needed, as well as regular helpers for:
🍎 Mondays & Wednesdays: Morning help for prep up until recess service.
🍏 Fridays: Extra hands for our busiest day of the week!

What’s involved? Assisting our canteen manager with prepping meals, packing orders, and serving recess and lunch so the kids aren't left waiting too long. No experience needed - if you can butter bread you're qualified! 🥪 🥗 Volunteers receive a $5 canteen voucher per shift as a thank you 😊

Wear your Pyjamas to School Day is happening this Friday! 🤩 To help keep everyone warm and cozy, the Canteen will be serving cups of warm Milo for just $2 before school and at recess ☕️

The Canteen is ready to buzz back into action, and we have some exciting news to kick off the new term 🐝 Since school starts back on Tuesday, we are opening up for a BONUS DAY! So for the first week back we'll be open Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 🥳

Standard menu will be available with hot meals, fresh and toasted sandwiches, cheesies, soup and more! Plus give the kids some change for over the counter snacks and treats 🍎
