Today, student leaders from Landsdale Christian School and Carmel Adventist College attended the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast at Crown Perth, an annual event that brings together leaders, students and communities from across Western Australia.
We were especially proud of our School Captains, Trina (Landsdale Christian School) and Noah (Carmel Adventist College), who had the honour of presenting Bible readings before the gathered audience. Together, they shared passages from Psalms and Revelation, representing both school communities with confidence.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for our captains and prefects to connect with other student leaders and reflect on the importance of servant leadership. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our schools, demonstrating the character, commitment and faith that make our Adventist school communities so special. Carmel Adventist College

Our Year 7 Science students became young botanists this week, carefully dissecting flowers to explore their structures and functions. 🌼🔬
Hands-on learning brought plant reproduction and scientific investigation to life!

As part of Book Week, the Year 4 and 5 students visited Dordaak Kepup Library to participate in an engaging incursion with illustrator Cindy Lane .

Cindy shared how she creates her own paints using rocks and seawater collected from the local environment. She demonstrated several painting techniques that she uses to create the beautiful watercolour illustrations featured in children’s books. Students were fascinated to learn about her creative process and the connection between nature and art.

Following the demonstration, students had the opportunity to apply their new knowledge by painting their own animal artworks. It was a wonderful experience, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session while learning a great deal about illustration, watercolours, and artistic expression.

🍩 DONUT WITH DAD 🍩!
We warmly invite fathers and father figures to join us for a special Father’s Day program on Friday 4 September at 8:15am.

We will begin with ‘Donuts with Dad’ (gluten-free also available!), lawn games and a photo opportunity at 8:15am, followed by a Whole School Chapel Service at 8:50am, featuring musical performances by our Year 1 class, accompanied by our high school band.

Robotics and Coding Adventures!

Our students have been exploring the exciting world of robotics and coding using the DIY Robotics & Coding Kit. Working with mBots, students have designed and built their own robots, investigated how sensors work, and learned how coding controls movement and decision-making. Through hands-on challenges and problem-solving activities, they developed skills in Digital Technologies, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. It has been wonderful to see students enthusiastically experimenting, troubleshooting, and bringing their robotic creations to life! 🚀🤖
