𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲

Here I am, showing up at work. Looking professional. Doing the thing.

But let me tell you what you don't see in this photo - the incredible workplace culture that made it possible for me to navigate grief while building my career.

Because having a supportive workplace isn't just about flexible hours or mental health days (though those help). It's about being seen as a whole human.

It's about leaders who understand that grief doesn't clock out at 8am. It's about teams that know sometimes you need space, not solutions. It's about a culture that lets you be both professional and real.

This is why I'm so passionate about changing how we handle grief in the corporate world. Because I've experienced firsthand what's possible when workplaces get it right.

When they understand that supporting someone through loss isn't just good humanity - it's good business.

To the businesses creating space for real life - thank you. To those who aren't there yet - let's talk.

Here's the thing about recovering from people pleasing: Nobody warns you how fu***ng hard it is to stop being everyone's emotional support human.

Nobody tells you that you'll feel guilty for having boundaries. That some people won't like the real you. That choosing yourself feels selfish at first.

But here's what I know after years of doing this work: The discomfort is worth it. The guilt fades. The real you? She's worth meeting.

If these confessions hit home, if you're tired of making yourself smaller - let's talk.

𝗧𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 ⚡️

You've been watching these retreat posts for weeks. Hovering over the DM button. Telling yourself "maybe later."

I see you.

Because I know what's really stopping you: It's not the money. It's not the time off work. It's not even the trip to Margaret River.

It's the fear of finally doing something about that thing you've been carrying.

Here's your permission slip: You don't have to keep carrying it alone.

May 22-25 at Brass Moon. A small group of women. Real conversations. Actual transformation.

Today's the last day for early bird pricing. But we both know this isn't about saving $300.

It's about finally being ready.

The link is in the bio ready for you x

𝗦𝗵*𝘁 𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳 ⚡️

Let's talk about the real ways we cope. The ones that wouldn't make it into a self-help book.

Like blast-cleaning the shower at midnight because your thoughts are too loud. Or reorganising your entire pantry when anxiety hits. Or doing spreadsheets at 3am because grief doesn't care about your sleep schedule.

The "unconventional" ways we deal:
→ Retail therapy (sometimes healing is on amazon.com)
→ Ugly crying in Woolies carpark
→ Watching the same Netflix series 47 times
→ Talking to your plants (they get it)
→ Making lists you'll never look at again

Here's the truth: Sometimes the "wrong" way to cope is exactly what you need.

Because healing isn't about: Following someone else's rules Doing what looks good on Instagram Pretending green juice fixes everything

Sometimes healing is: Eating cake for breakfast. Taking the long way home. Dancing badly to 90s hits.
Whatever the f**k gets you through

So to everyone doing it "wrong" - Maybe you're actually doing it right. Maybe the messy way is your way. Maybe that's exactly what healing looks like for you.

And maybe, just maybe, that's perfectly fu***ng fine. ✨

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 ⚡️

You know that space between who you were and who you're becoming? Yeah, let's talk about that chaos.

Everyone loves a before and after photo. The neat little transformation story. The "look how far I've come" highlight reel.

But the middle? That's where the real s**t happens.

The middle is: Crying in your car between meetings Feeling strong at 9am and broken by noon Taking three steps forward, five steps back Looking "fine" while feeling everything

The middle is where: ✨ Your old coping mechanisms don't work anymore But the new ones haven't kicked in yet You're too grown for your old life But still building your new one

Nobody posts about the middle. The messy part. The "what the f**k is happening" part. The "I'm changing but into what?" part.

But here's the truth: The middle isn't something to rush through. It's not a phase to "get over." It's not a problem to solve.

The middle is where you become. 🦋

So to everyone in their messy middle right now: You're not lost. You're not broken. You're not doing it wrong.

You're just becoming. And becoming isn't meant to be pretty.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳 🔥

Let's talk about what happens when your healing journey makes other people uncomfortable. 👀

When you stop:
🚫 Playing small to make them feel big
🚫 Saying "I'm fine" when you're not
🚫 Pretending their toxic positivity helps
🚫 Making your pain palatable for their comfort

Watch how quickly they squirm when you: 💅
⚡️ Name your feelings without apologising
⚡️ Set boundaries they can't cross
⚡️ Talk about your grief without sugar coating it ⚡️ Choose authenticity over their approval

THE TRUTH: Your healing isn't meant to be comfortable - for you OR for them. 💣

It's meant to be real. It's meant to be raw. It's meant to ruffle some feathers.

Because real healing? It's not pretty crystals and inspiration quotes. It's messy conversations and uncomfortable truths. It's saying no to s**t that doesn't serve you. It's letting people be triggered by your transformation.

So let them be uncomfortable. 💫 Let them be confused. Let them be triggered.

Their reaction to your healing is not your responsibility. 👊 Their comfort is not your job. Their opinion of your journey is not your concern.

Keep going. Keep healing. Keep pi***ng people off with your growth. ✨

It's working. 🔮

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻?

Plot twist: What if everything you've been told about healing is bulls**t?

What if you don't need: To be fixed - To be healed - To be "whole" again

What if - stay with me here - you're not actually broken?

What if your grief isn't a problem to solve? What if your trauma isn't a wound to heal? What if your pain isn't something to "get over"?

Here's the truth nobody's telling you: You're not a project. You're not a before and after story. You're not waiting to become "complete."

You're a fu***ng powerhouse who's been through some s**t and is still standing.

And maybe - just maybe - all those people trying to fix you are just uncomfortable with your raw, unfiltered truth.

Stop trying to heal yourself into someone else's version of okay.

Start owning exactly who you are right now.

That's where the real transformation begins.

𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝘇𝘇𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀

Let's talk about protecting your energy when the world keeps demanding more.

You know those moments? When your phone's blowing up with "urgent" requests When everyone needs "just 5 minutes" of your time When your calendar looks like a game of Tetris When your grief needs space but life needs you to show up

Here's what I've learned about boundaries: They're not about being difficult. They're not about being unavailable. They're about being honest about what you can hold right now.

Real boundaries look like: "I don't have capacity for that today" "I need to check my calendar before committing" "That doesn't work for me" "No" (just that - no explanation needed)

Because here's the truth - you can't pour from an empty cup is bulls**t. You shouldn't be pouring from any cup. You're not a vessel for other people's needs.

Your energy is currency. Spend it wisely. Protect it fiercely. Replenish it regularly.

And sometimes the strongest boundary is simply closing your laptop at 5pm and letting tomorrow be tomorrow's problem.

Start this week knowing your worth isn't measured by your availability

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗼

Watching them navigate their grief while managing my own - that's the part of loss nobody really talks about. The part where you're trying to hold space for their hearts while your own is shattered.

My heart broke while I watched my daughters stand and take in the sunset on what would of been Juniper's 3rd birthday. The sky painted itself in colours that felt like her, and I watched them watching it - carrying their sister in their own unique ways.

This is the raw truth of parenting through grief: Sometimes it's holding space when you need space yourself. Sometimes it's being strong when you want to fall apart. Sometimes it's all of us falling apart together, and that's okay too.

Nobody tells you how to parent through loss. How to navigate the moments when their grief crashes into yours. How to balance their need to talk with their need for normal. How to show them it's okay to carry both joy and sadness in the same heart.

But maybe that's the point. Maybe they don't need us to have all the answers. Maybe they just need us to be real. To show them that missing her is okay. That looking for her in sunsets is okay. That loving her out loud is okay.

To every parent watching their children navigate loss - you're doing better than you think. Your love is enough. Your presence is enough. Even on the days when that's all you can give.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵

You see a group of women in this photo. I see the backbone of transformation.

Because here's what I've learned - both personally and as a coach: The strongest women aren't the ones doing it alone. They're the ones who've found their crew. The ones who know when to lean in and when to let others carry them.

Strength isn't solo. It's not about having your s**t together 24/7. It's about having people who see your mess and raise you a "same here, babe."

This right here? This is what changes everything.

When you stop trying to be the "strong one." When you find your people who get it. When you realise that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is let someone else be strong for you.

Game fu***ng changer.

And if you're reading this thinking "I need that" - I hear you. That's exactly why I do what I do.
