Today, the child demonstrated an interest in playing with blocks. He constructed a boat by joining each block together. Then, he proceeded to create a bridge. When asked what he made, he replied that he made a bridge. Upon further inquiry about what happened after the car rode under the bridge, he clarified that the blue mat represented water, specifically a river, under which the boat he initially made passed. Throughout this activity, he utilized his imagination and creativity. This play session helped develop his fine motor skills, as well as his ability to design and build intricate structures using creativity, imagination, and logical thinking.

Continue learning about shapes.
This week, children continued to build on their knowledge of shapes. Today, I established an outdoor sensory activity focused on shapes. The outside sensory bin featured natural materials, such as sand, sticks, and rocks. Children enjoyed drawing various shapes with their fingers, while others liked using plastic shapes to create impressions in the sand. Some chose to use sticks. This activity is a beneficial way for children to learn about shapes, colours while developing their fine motor skills. This activity is suitable for sensory exploration and involves. Also children like to picking up coloured shapes and sorting them into matching containers with the same shape that I drew on the floor. The children had a wonderful time exploring shapes.
