I'm back!!!
Thankyou everyone for being so patient while I've been out of action.
I'm now conducting weekly classes and workshops again.
The Tuesday group is wanting new members so please get in touch if you would like to join us. Beginners definitely welcome.
I'm back in my happy place 😊

Recently I posted a photo of the Purple Bra 💜 I made last year and donated to a breast cancer fundraiser.
Since then I've received several requests for the template. I used the point of sale material from Iga WA as my template. As I use my jigsaw to cut out all of my shapes it's not completely true to the original 🤣. Purple Bra Day 💜 is held during August-September in WA and supported by IGA and proceeds go to Breast Cancer Care WA. The photos I've added give dimensions and will hopefully give you some idea how I started. I want to do a halterneck bra soon. 😊

Due to a recent diagnosis of breast cancer I am closing my creative doors for the next few months.
I'm sorry to let everyone down especially with the school holidays starting at the end of next week.
Please make sure you contact me for classes towards the end of term 3.
Keep creating wonderful pieces so you can share them with me in a few months.

For the last few weeks I've added Beginners Workshops to the time table.
I've met so many ladies who really want to learn the techniques needed to work with different tiles, glass and crockery (called tesserea in mosaic circles 😁).
Most students are amazed at how long it takes to complete a small project but they are so pleased they have learnt new skills.
To me, that's music to my ears 🥰

Alison had a go at everything!
Tools, adhesives, tesserae and will come back this week to grout Dolly the dolphin 🐬

Come to one of my beginners mosaic workshops and I'll teach you to have a go at all of them until you are comfortable. We're all different and what suits 1 person might not suit another.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a former student, 3 years ago to be exact, asking if I still had her house number. Of course I did! I don't throw anything out 😁
I dug it out of my garage and sent a photo to the maker. She asked if I would finish it for her. Yes I said!! Then I spent 2 weeks trying to find enough of the original tiles to complete it!
I'm very pleased with the outcome. Now to grout it and hope the owner likes what I've done 😊
