The children had so much fun getting creative with natural resources.

Using leaves, sticks, flowers, and other little treasures, they designed their very own faces! Each creation was unique and full of personality, sparking imagination, laughter, and plenty of conversation.

Experiences like this support creativity, problem-solving, and help children build a strong connection with the natural world around them.

🌺 Our Anzac Day week 🌺

We’ve been busy exploring ANZAC Day through fun and meaningful activities.

The children enjoyed making poppies, sharing stories, and learning about kindness, friendship, and helping others. We also spent a little quiet time reflecting together in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

Introducing special events like ANZAC Day helps children begin to understand the world around them while building respect and connection to our community.

🐝💛 World Bee Day at Kids Academy ELC Balga 💛🐝
Our little learners came dressed in yellow as we celebrated World Bee Day through fun hands-on experiences! 🌼
The children created bee wings using recycled cardboard, explored a yellow gloop sensory tray with bee-inspired props, participated in bee hive stamping painting, and enjoyed making yummy Weetbix honey bites for afternoon tea. 🍯♻️🎨

Whisking, mixing, pouring, and plenty of smiles at Kids Academy ELC Balga on World Baking Day! 🍫🧁✨

Yesterday, our children enjoyed participating in a fun hands-on baking experience as they worked together to make a delicious chocolate cake. Through cooking experiences, children explored creativity, teamwork, communication, and fine motor skills in a meaningful and engaging way.

Our large soft play equipment in our play spaces, provides a safe and exciting space for children to climb, crawl, jump, and explore at their own pace. It encourages risk-taking in a supported environment, helping children challenge themselves while having fun.

Through movement, children are not only developing physically, but also building resilience, independence, and a love for active play!

Our children have been exploring natural resources to create their own “potions” — mixing leaves, flowers, water, and other found treasures. Through these playful experiments, they’re not only having fun, but also developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and an early understanding of science concepts.

Using natural materials encourages curiosity, imagination, and a deeper connection to the environment. It’s amazing to see the children lead their own discoveries, ask questions, and share their ideas with friends.

This week, our children had an egg-citing time celebrating Easter through a range of fun and engaging activities. From creative crafts to festive games, the excitement was everywhere! Highlights included our Easter Party, where the children enjoyed music, treats, and lots of laughter, as well as our much-anticipated Easter Egg Hunt 🥚A big hit with everyone!

It has been such a joy to see the children’s smiles and enthusiasm as they explored, learned, and celebrated together.
