Our little ones had a wonderful time celebrating Book Week! 🌈📖

The children dressed up in their favourite book inspired costumes, bringing their favourite characters to life. 🦸‍♀️🧚‍♂️🐻👑

We also enjoyed a range of exciting sensory learning experiences inspired by books, allowing the children to explore different textures, colours and materials while connecting their play to stories and characters. 🎨👐📚

Through these experiences, the children developed their imagination, creativity, language, communication and sensory awareness while having lots of fun.

Our Kindy children had a wonderful day exploring Lansdale Farm🐑🐓🐴

The excursion provided lots of opportunities for hands-on learning experiences, including discovering different farm animals, learning about where food comes from, observing how animals are cared for, and exploring the farm environment.

The children enjoyed asking questions, sharing their observations and developing their knowledge through real-life experiences. 🌱👩‍🌾

To finish our exciting day, we enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch together in the fresh air. 🧺🍎

🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC Week at Kids Academy ELC Balga ❤️💛🖤

This week, our children have been celebrating NAIDOC Week by learning about and honouring the rich histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed a range of meaningful experiences, including storytelling, art and craft, music, cultural activities, and exploring Indigenous symbols and traditions. These experiences encourage respect, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation of Australia's First Nations cultures.

At Kids Academy ELC Balga, we are committed to creating opportunities for children to learn about the importance of caring for Country, respecting diversity, and celebrating the world's oldest continuing cultures.

We are so proud of our children for embracing these learning experiences with enthusiasm, kindness, and respect.

Our children had a wonderful time welcoming Didgeridoo Breath by Sanshi to our centre during Naidoc Week.

The children were captivated as they explored the beautiful sounds of the didgeridoo, listened to stories, and learned about Aboriginal culture through music and interactive experiences. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage their curiosity, imagination, and appreciation for Australia's rich First Nations culture.

There were plenty of smiles, excitement, and eager participation throughout the session, and it was lovely to see everyone so engaged and having fun while learning. 💛🖤❤️

Our toddlers had so much fun celebrating Plastic Free July by decorating and wearing recycled paper bag outfits before exploring painting together. The children proudly showed off their creations and enjoyed adding colourful paint to their own bags and their friends’ outfits, creating lots of smiles, laughter, and opportunities for creative expression.

🌊 Waves of Wonder: Our Ocean Adventure

Our children had a wonderful time celebrating World Ocean Day through turtle collage craft, ocean sensory play, and collaborative ocean painting. They explored sea animals, discovered different textures, and used their imaginations as they learned about the amazing life found beneath the ocean waves.

Together, our young explorers took part in caring for and appreciating our beautiful blue planet. 🌎💙
