Today was the last time I provided care for children under the Mumfi's Munchkins name.
To all of my families past and present, near and far, without your trust and openness to allow me to care for your children, I wouldn't be where I am now and with the knowledge and experience that I hold. I'd like to sincerely thank you for choosing me.
My time with the kids has been phenomenal and the adventures we've been on, the places we've seen are what has made our time that little bit extra special.
They will all hold a piece of my heart and they all played a part in making my sillies grow stronger and for that I will be eternally grateful!

SWAN VALLEY CUDDLY ANIMAL FARM
What an experience for the kids today. They were able to closely interact with these farm animals including bottle feeding Sheep, Kids, and piglets!
Some children were more cautious and others were full of confidence.
Having the opportunity to learn how to behave around animals is so beneficial for children to gain respect for the environment and world around them.

We headed to the zoo today but couldn't get a park... *Thanks school holidays* so we headed off to Whiteman park instead.
So many giggles and challenges and successes.

FIRE DRILL today.
It's really quite difficult for the children to comprehend that it is a drill and not real. Each of the pretend phone calls I made, at least one child asked " are they for real coming to your house Sam?" " Is my mum coming to get me now?"
As we walked past the side of the house to our muster point, one child asks "where is the smoke Sam?"
They get a little worried and apprehensive of the loud alarm too.
It's so important for us to do these drills with the children so these worries become just another regular routine, should the need arise for us to put our drills to real life use, they will be that little bit better prepared.

As promised, here is the results of the big girls homemade paint.
Water, dirt and food colouring.
Our rocks look so bright and cheery. Great invention girls, very creative.

We ran out of bio glitter so we made some more. The girls had to shake shake shake the bags to make sure all the salt was covered with colour and now we're patiently waiting for it to dry so we can use it in our creative work.
Lea, our educator support Officer popped in today too.
The big kids created a paste using mud and coloured water to paint the big rocks in the mud kitchen area. I'll add photos of the results once it is dry after rest time.
