ACC & SSWA CROSS COUNTRY // What an absolutely amazing couple of weeks of running for the PMACS Cross Country squad!
Our athletes took on the best in the state at both the School Sport WA (SSWA) and the Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) Carnivals - the biggest school cross country event in Australia. Out of over 80 competing schools, Peter Moyes claimed an incredible 3rd Place Overall in the ACC Carnival!
The dedication, early mornings, and sheer determination of our runners paid off with some truly elite individual and team results:

Kamika (13/U Girls): 1st Place (Kamika also took out the 2nd fastest overall female time of the entire carnival!)
Adianca (16/U Girls): 1st Place
Mia (14/U Girls): 2nd Place
Atticus (14/U Boys): 3rd Place
A massive shoutout to our 13/Under Girls, who took home the combined Champion Team trophy!
Congratulations to every single runner who laced up, pushed through the pain barrier, and proudly wore the Peter Moyes colours. You have done our school community incredibly proud!

SAVE THE DATE: SCHOOL PHOTO DAYS // It’s time to polish those shoes and practice your best smiles! School Photo Days are just around the corner. Please see the schedule below to find your child's designated day:
🗓️ Primary (Kindy - Year 6): Tuesday 2 June
🗓️ Secondary (Years 7 - 10): Wednesday 10 June
🗓️ Secondary (Years 11 - 12): Thursday 11 June
Sibling Photos:
Sibling photos will be taken on all three days (2nd, 10th & 11th June) between 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM. There is no booking system for sibling photos - simply come along during these time slots.
For more information and details on how to purchase your images please refer to the email that was sent today.
Please ensure your children are in full, correct winter school uniform on their designated day. We can't wait to see those bright smiles!

CANCER COUNCIL'S BIGGEST MORNING TEA // Yesterday, the PMACS staff raised a staggering $2,450 for the Cancer Council’s Australia's Biggest Morning Tea!
A massive shoutout and thank you to our incredibly talented Year 11 Cert II Hospitality students, who prepared all of the delicious food for the event. From baking to plating, your professionalism and hard work made the morning a massive success.
An absolutely incredible result for a wonderful cause!

REMINDER - STUDENT FREE DAY NEXT WEEK & LONG WEEKEND // A quick reminder for all our families that next Friday, 29 May is a Student-Free Day followed by the WA Day long weekend.
While our students enjoy an extra-long weekend, our staff will be hard at work participating in a Teachers’ Professional Learning (PL) Day.
Enjoy the break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday after the long weekend!

YEAR 11 ENGINEERING // The Year 11 engineering class put their Rocket Stoves to the test today. After a smoky false start with wood (apologies to the maintenance team for nearly setting off the fire alarm system), coal saved the day. The rocket stoves worked like a charm and pancakes and sausages were served!
