🇦🇺 AUSTRALIA STUDENT VISA UPDATE – Country Evidence Level

Australia has updated country evidence levels, which may affect student visa documentation and financial evidence.

✅ Level 3: India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Philippines
✅ Level 2: Sri Lanka, Vietnam
✅ Level 1: Malaysia, Indonesia

🔍 What does Level 3 mean?
It simply means stronger supporting documents are required (GS/SOP, finances, sponsors). It does not mean visa refusal.

To comply with condition 8202 (meet course requirements) you must:
👉 Stay enrolled in a registered course at the same or higher Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level. There is an exception - moving from Doctoral (AQF Level 10) ➡️ Master’s (AQF Level 9).
👉 Maintain satisfactory attendance in your course and course progress for each study period as required by your education provider.
👉 Inform your education provider if you are changing providers. Do this within 7 days of getting your new Confirmation of Enrolment and meet all visa conditions during the change.
Thinking of changing to a lower-level or non-AQF course? You need to apply for a new student visa. Don’t start your new course until the new visa is granted.
Remember, study outcomes can impact future student visa applications and non-compliance can lead to visa cancellation.

What do they mean?
