Happy Educator’s Day to our amazing Team at Nido Wandi 🥰 We appreciate the heart you put into your work everyday and are so proud of the positive impact you have on the children and families in the Wandi community 💕

Over the last few weeks the children spent time with our Curriculum Leader Tulani drawing their Educators, sharing memories and creating our beautiful updated Team display. Didn’t they do such a wonderful job? 🥰

From pulp to paper ♻️📜🌿

Today, the children explored the fascinating process of making their very own paper! Working together in small groups, they mixed recycled paper with water to create pulp before using paper frames to dip, scoop and gently shake in the frame.

They loved feeling the different textures, watching the pulp collect on the frames, and seeing their paper take shape step by step.

As we explored the Djilba season, the children enjoyed pressing flowers using different methods — a flower press, books and display boards. 🌿

Atelier, but make it outdoors 🎨☀️
Today, our Kinder children took their Atelier experience outside, spending a beautiful morning in the Djilba sunshine and exploring our community park 🌿

With curious minds and creative hands, the children collected nature treasures, noticed the colours, textures and shapes around them, and took inspiration from the natural environment. They then used their observations to create paintings inspired by what they could see, turning their discoveries into little works of art. 🎨🍃

At Nido Wandi, we believe the children are capable and competent. They are naturally curious and active learners who want to be a part of every moment of the day 💕

This morning our Toddler children helped make their own morning tea using our Safety Food Kutter, child safe knives. The children safely cut their fruit independently, learning skills that they will continue to use throughout their lives 🥰
