✨ Playroom Refresh! ✨

At Susan Carr Family Day Care, we've recently changed our playroom around to create more clearly defined play spaces for the children. By providing specific areas for different types of play, children are able to make choices, engage more deeply in their interests, and develop a stronger sense of belonging and independence.

Our new spaces encourage imaginative play, construction, quiet learning, creative experiences, and collaborative play, allowing every child opportunities to explore, discover, and learn in ways that are meaningful to them.

This environment aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) by supporting:
🌱 Outcome 1: Children develop a strong sense of identity as they confidently choose where and how they play.
🤝 Outcome 2: Children connect with and contribute to their world through cooperative play and shared experiences.
🧠 Outcome 4: Children become confident and involved learners as they investigate, create, problem-solve, and explore.
💬 Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators as they interact, negotiate, and share ideas within each play space.

🌱 Little Hands Can Do Big Things! 🌱

At Susan Carr Family Daycare, we believe children are capable of so much more than we sometimes imagine. When children are given the right tools, confidence, encouragement, and opportunities, they can take on important jobs around the home and garden.

Whether it's watering plants, helping to collect eggs, feeding pets, sweeping pathways, planting seedlings, or caring for our vegetable garden, children develop valuable life skills while building independence and self-confidence.

By trusting children with real responsibilities, we show them that they are capable, valued, and important members of our community. These experiences help children develop problem-solving skills, resilience, responsibility, and a sense of pride in their achievements.

At Susan Carr Family Daycare, we believe it’s so important for children to understand where their food comes from. By getting hands-on in the garden—planting seeds, watering, and watching them grow—children develop a real connection to the food they eat.

🌧️ Rainy days don’t stop the fun at Susan Carr Family Daycare! 🌈

Today, the children embraced the wet weather with curiosity, creativity, and lots of smiles. From splashing in puddles to engaging in imaginative indoor play, every moment became an opportunity to learn and grow.

CLOSED WEDNESDAYS.
Registered with White Gum daycare service.
I offer 2 snacks and a nutritious lunch, nappies, wipes included. a hat and drink bottle (that stays here).
Montessori style learning.
Over 40 yrs of experience in childcare.
