🌱 Little Hands Can Do Big Things! 🌱
At Susan Carr Family Daycare, we believe children are capable of so much more than we sometimes imagine. When children are given the right tools, confidence, encouragement, and opportunities, they can take on important jobs around the home and garden.
Whether it's watering plants, helping to collect eggs, feeding pets, sweeping pathways, planting seedlings, or caring for our vegetable garden, children develop valuable life skills while building independence and self-confidence.
By trusting children with real responsibilities, we show them that they are capable, valued, and important members of our community. These experiences help children develop problem-solving skills, resilience, responsibility, and a sense of pride in their achievements.
These learning experiences align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), particularly:
🌟 Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity as they become confident and involved learners.
🌟 Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world through caring for their environment and community.
🌟 Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners who develop persistence, cooperation, and practical life skills.
There is nothing quite like seeing a child's face light up when they realise, "I can do it myself!"
