‘Hey I’m Céleste and I joined our Zenfants Moris family in 2016 and there is never a dull moment when we’re all together spreading our culture through our dancing!
I’m actually originally from the island of Rodrigues! And although their version of sega is a bit different to Ile Maurice I still feel connected to our culture whenever I dance.
Sega has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, whether I was just dancing at birthdays, events or even just at home!
Being Mauritian/ Rodriguan means carrying a deep pride in a culture that is colourful, welcoming, and deeply connected to both the land and the people ❤️🇲🇺’
