Ladybug Literacy for kids has classes for children aged 1.5 - 5 years.
2.5 + class:
A session includes a good morning song and a book read to the children. We then introduce the sound of the day. This is followed by making a tactile/craft letter in a small group. We then move through a rotation of activities to help develop your childβs pre- literacy skills. The stations will be tactile, fun an
d interactive. They will include learning sounds, letters and fine motor skills. We will conclude the session with some music, parachute play and dancing. Classes will cost $17 per session (payable by the term) and will run for 1 hour. Single classes will be $20 per session
Classes will be capped at 14 children per class with their parents. Classes are held on Monday's at the Aveley Community Centre. The session times available are as follows:

1.5-2.5 year old class:
Classes will involve learning nursery rhymes, singing, dancing and rotating through a series of tactile stations. The stations will be βhands onβ and will allow your child to be immersed in a whole world full of literacy as well as developing a sense of belonging and familiarity through routine. The stations will enable you to have 1:1 time with your child to explore the world around them and begin them on their learning journey. Classes will be held on:

The classes will cost $14 each (payable by the term). What to expect from Ladybugs:
- We create a positive, friendly and nurturing learning environment.
- We play games and sing songs that encourage development of fine motor skills, bilateral co ordination, crossing midline and development of attention span.
- We encourage parental interaction.
- We focus on a new letter/sound each fortnight.
- We create a love and enjoyment of learning where it is fun and easy.
- We read stories that are fun and focus on a phonetic sound.
- We use activities that are tactile and multisensory.
- We develop pre-writing skills
