🩵 June's Wellbeing Theme: TRUST! 💜
Did you know that Friendship Fact #3 teaches us that Trust & Respect are the two most important qualities of a friendship?
When someone says, "I've got your back!" in kid-lingo, they don't mean they're literally holding your back! 😂
It means:
💙 They're there for you when you need them.
💚 They keep their promises.
🩷 Their words are honest.
🧡 They do what they say they're going to do.
💜 You can count on them.
Trust is built one small action at a time. Every kept promise, every act of honesty, and every moment of showing up for a friend helps strengthen the friendship.
This month, our Friendology Schools will be diving into all things TRUST as we help students explore what it means to be trustworthy + how to build friendships that feel safe, strong, and supportive.
📌 Teachers: Don't miss this month's Trust Bulletin Board activity! It's a fun, interactive way to get students thinking about what trust looks, sounds, and feels like in their friendships.

On Wednesday morning, our school community came together to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 with this year’s beautiful story, Luna Roo.
Our students shared in the joy of reading together, joining thousands of children around Australia in this special celebration of storytelling, imagination and connection.
There were smiles, laughter and plenty of excitement as we followed Luna Roo’s adventure together. What a wonderful way to inspire a love of books and reading in our students.

It was wonderful to welcome our SPX Parents for an informative evening with David Castelanelli from Learning last night.
Together, we explored what it means to raise selfless leaders, young people who lead with kindness, empathy and a genuine desire to serve others.
David’s engaging and practical insights reminded us of the powerful role we all play in shaping our children’s mindset, relationships and leadership journey.

Learning a new multiplication strategy today. The Year 5 students worked with the box method to solve complicated 3 digit by 3 digit multiplication problems. We are so impressed with how quickly the students picked up this strategy.

At St Pius X, we believe that leadership begins with the heart and it grows through the partnerships we build together as a community.
We warmly invite all parents and caregivers to join us for this special evening as we explore how we can nurture leadership qualities in our children. At St Pius X, we are intentional about journeying alongside our students from Pre Kindy through to Year 6, supporting them to grow in confidence, empathy and responsibility as they develop into leaders of the future.
This session is an opportunity not only to gain practical strategies to support your child at home, but also to learn more about the thinking and approaches we are embracing to guide and strengthen leadership opportunities across our school.
We are excited to welcome David Castelanelli, founder of Levitate Learning who will also be working with our Year 5 and 6 students to spark curiosity and deepen their understanding of what it means to lead with empathy, integrity and purpose.
This is very much a whole community conversation and I encourage all families to come along, connect and journey with us as we continue to shape a shared vision for leadership at St Pius X.
Drinks and a light supper will be provided and we would love to see as many of our families attend as possible.

The Year 2’s began a new Maths unit with Mrs Trabucchi and will be investigating the concept of ‘capacity’. They learnt that capacity is the amount that a container can hold and had fun in the sun trying to measure how much sand would fit into different sized containers.
