You can catch our classes in Mt Lawley on Monday and Wembley Hotel on Thursday. Based in Perth, Australia, Swingtopia teaches the vintage swing dances from the 20's, 30's and 40's. Our classes are dedicated to high quality learning, smooth connection with your dance partner, impressive dance moves, and most importantly of all, a lot of fun. We combine the depth of modern technique with the sheer u

nadulterated exuberance of that classic era. Classes are drop-in, which means you can join in the dancing any time you like

A variety of swing dances are taught, including the Lindy Hop, LA Style Swing, Boogie Woogie, Balboa, Solo Jazz, and Charleston. Swing dancing is not only about the dance, as the dancers immerse themselves in the culture of the time and become excited about dressing in the fashion, learning about the culture, and listening to the music. These are the dance's vintage roots, and pretty soon you'll be adding that vintage vibe to your entire wardrobe. From classes students can go to social dances and ask other people to dance, like it used to be in the good old days. The best part is you can travel around the world and if someone has learnt the Lindy Hop you can dance together even if you don't speak the same language!

It was an amazing night on Monday with our free class! Thank you event for coming and learning 3 solo routines, 2 medieval dances, and 1 kickass aerial!

Classes every Monday starting at 7:3/pm! Plus medieval dance workshops next Wednesday and air steps at the end of the month!

SURPRISE BIG APPLE! 🍏
Every Big Apple is a surprise and tomorrow night is no different. Due to popular demand there'll be a Big Apple class in the back room tomorrow at 7:30pm, while beginners will happen in the main hall. We won't be doing the whole thing, but we will be doing fragments.

Then at 8:30, people have spoken! Or rather they've scribbled in a haphazard way and drawn pictures of kitty cats around it. Tomorrow's intermediate class at 8:30 will be fast dancing.
