🚀 We’re excited to announce that the Plus Eight Accelerator investment pool has officially reached $1M, with Spinifex Foundation joining as a new funding partner, as nine startups from our milestone 10th cohort progress into Phase Two.

Over the next couple of months, the founders will continue building and scaling through the program, before heading to San Francisco for our international immersion in October, and taking the stage at Demo Night this November. 🌏

The City of Perth Pre-Accelerator, supported by the Town of Victoria Park is officially underway 🚀

Following a great meet and greet kick-off night, we’ve welcomed a new cohort of early-stage founders into the City of Perth Pre-Accelerator, delivered by Plus Eight with support from the City of Perth and Town of Victoria Park.

It was great to hear from previous participants Kyan Jones and Morgan Becker, who shared their experiences from the program, answered questions from the cohort and offered some great advice as the new founders get started.

Over the next six weeks, founders will turn their ideas into action through practical learning, expert guidance and connection with mentors and others across Perth’s startup ecosystem.

Week 1 of the program focused on business models with Tim Sondalini. Tim worked with the founders as they refined their value propositions, challenged assumptions and built business models designed for real-world validation.

It’s only week one, but we’re already excited to see where this group takes their ideas 👀

🚀 Yesterday marked the final day of Phase One for Plus Eight Accelerator, with all 14 startups taking the stage to pitch to our program partners and team.

Following an incredible morning of pitches, we came together to determine which startups will progress into Phase Two of the program, while the founders celebrated the end of an intensive and rewarding first chapter together. 💙

A huge thank you to our partners, the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, BetterLabs, Kaizen West, CFC Group, Spacecubed, Spinifex, Hawaiian, Entrepreneur Trainer Andy Ford, Insight Advisory Group, DFK Gooding Partners and K&L Gates, for playing a part in helping shape the next generation of high-growth founders. ⭐

Over the coming weeks, we'll be announcing the startups selected for Phase Two, where they'll receive a share of $1 million in seed funding, join an international immersion to San Francisco, and continue their journey towards Demo Night later this year. 👀

🚀 The countdown is on. This week marked the final Phase One session of our milestone 10th Plus Eight Accelerator cohort, with founders stepping up to rehearse their pitches ahead of next week's Phase Two selection.

Each startup pitched, receiving valuable feedback from our programs team as they prepare for one of the biggest moments of the program. Next week, they'll pitch for the opportunity to progress into Phase Two, unlocking access to $1M in shared seed funding, an international immersion to San Francisco, and the chance to present at Plus Eight Demo Night later this year.
