Here's our wrap-up video showcasing all the fun happening around our school this week. The backing track features a special moment from Wednesday’s Musica Viva Australia incursion, with Wyniss and our students singing the final song together 🎶💛
We hope you enjoy this week’s video and have a wonderful long weekend! Stay safe and we’ll see everyone back at school on Tuesday 😊

Well done to all of the students who were recognised at this morning’s assembly for their outstanding work and achievements over the past 3 weeks 👏
A big congratulations to Room 4, who spoke and sang beautifully while sharing their class item about resilience 💛🎶
Well done also to Ms Singh and Room 8 for their wonderful Wyniss-inspired music performance to finish the assembly!

Yesterday we welcomed Wyniss from Musica Viva Australia for a joyful and interactive performance filled with laughter, singing and dancing!
Students were immersed in the rich culture of the Torres Strait through traditional songs, dances and childhood games, learning how stories, history and traditions are passed down from generation to generation. From spinning tops to string figures, the performance had everyone engaged while highlighting the importance of culture, connection and community.
It was a fantastic experience for our students and a wonderful reminder to value and appreciate the traditions shared with us by others.

🎨🌴 Our undercover area has been transformed into a beautiful gallery thanks to Ms Singh, who has proudly displayed our students’ artwork inspired by Mua Island in the Torres Strait.
The artwork has been created in connection with our upcoming Musica Viva Australia – Wyniss incursion and reflects the music and stories shared by the ensemble. 🎶
Families are warmly invited to view the display before assembly this Friday, where Room 8 will also perform a special musical piece titled Mua Island Soundscape.
If your child has not yet returned their permission note or payment, please do so as soon as possible so they can take part in this wonderful experience.

Our Senior students have been busy putting their detective skills to the test through their Word Origins Literacy program! One of the words they’ve been exploring is verdict - so Mr Mardon came up with a brilliant idea… a mock trial!
With 8 staff members as suspects 😲, students were given police witness statements and crime scene photos to analyse. Working in groups, they’ve been investigating the evidence, discussing clues and deciding who they believe is guilty! 🔍
What an engaging and creative way to bring learning to life while building teamwork, critical thinking and literacy skills 👏
We can’t wait to see the final verdicts!
