Two tough fights on the weekend, and unfortunately two losses on the cards.
But if there’s one thing we’re proud of, it’s how both boys fought and what they took from the experience.
Our first fighter “Occy” showed exactly what we want to see from a developing fighter. He listened to his corner, made adjustments each round and continued to improve as the fight went on. It didn’t quite go his way on the scorecards, but he gained a valuable experience and showed how quickly he’s progressing.
Our second fighter Max had one of those bouts that’s difficult to accept. He pushed forward from the opening bell, landed a variety of strikes, showed aggression, good technique and plenty of heart throughout. The result wasn’t what we wanted, and it was certainly a difficult one to take.
But this is fighting.
Sometimes you get the result you deserve. Sometimes you don’t get the result you expected. Either way, the answer is the same: keep moving forward.
Monday, Max was back in the gym, training hard and preparing for his next bout in just four weeks.
That attitude is what matters.
We learn. We improve. We get better. And we make sure the next fight leaves as little as possible in the hands of the judges.
Proud of both boys. 🕷️🥊
The losses will be on the record, but so will the lessons.
On and up.
Thanks to the supporters and my awesome corner team 💪🏽
