The most common reason people don't enquire about a qualification is time.

"I'm working full-time. I just can't fit it in."

Every student in our last cohort was employed while they were completing their qualification. Not a few of them. All of them.

Since 2023, WA employers have had a legal obligation to manage psychosocial hazards in the workplace.

Most organisations are still catching up.

Psychosocial hazards are workplace conditions that can cause psychological harm. That includes excessive workload, poor management practices, workplace conflict, and lack of role clarity. These are recognised health and safety risks with real legal consequences for organisations that do not manage them.

Under the WA Work Health and Safety Act, employers have a duty to identify psychosocial hazards, assess the risks they create, and implement controls.

Aspire Performance Training delivers psychosocial safety training for WA organisations and offers the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) for anyone holding WHS responsibility.

The Jobs and Skills WA Employer Incentive pays up to $4,250 over 24 months for each eligible employee you put through a funded qualification.

For a centre with five educators working toward their Cert III or Diploma, that is potentially over $21,000 in employer incentives.

We are delighted to welcome Tshering (Terry) Peljor to the Aspire Performance Training team as our new Trainer and Assessor in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Terry brings more than 15 years of experience in the early childhood sector, spanning roles as an educator, Lead Educator, and Senior Lead Educator. He holds a Bachelor of Teaching, a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and he is already planning to add a Diploma of Training and Assessment to that list.

What makes Terry exceptional in a training role is not just his credentials; it is the depth of real-world experience he brings into the room. He has navigated the NQF, led teams through quality improvement, mentored junior educators, and worked across diverse early childhood settings in both WA and the NT. When he explains something to a learner, it lands because he has lived it.
