Friday was P&C WA Day, and we celebrated the support our P&C gives to our school by sharing student messages of thanks.

It was lovely to see students speak so positively about the P&C.
The P&C does more than fundraising. They support school events, help families connect, and build a strong school community at Millen.

Thank you to our P&C Executive and all parents and caregivers who give their time and support to our school. We truly appreciate all that you do for our students and community.

That Millen Primary School first opened its doors in 1956 with just 6 teachers and 248 students? Today, the school community has grown to over 500 students — but the heart of Millen remains the same: learning together. 💙
Built during the post-war boom in East Victoria Park, Millen Primary became an important part of the growing “Millen Estate” community, welcoming generations of local families through its gates over the past 70 years. Many parents, grandparents — and even great-grandparents — of current students once sat in the very same classrooms!

We hope that all our mothers had a lovely Mother's Day and loved the gifts from the P & C stall. Even Ollie got his human mum a gift for yesterday!

That’s a wrap on Term 1!
We finished off today with our much-loved annual Easter Hat Parade – so many fun, creative hats on display! A big thanks to everyone who helped put them together 🐰🎩👒

We also said a final good bye to our past Principal, Ms Comrie – we are grateful for the dedication, leadership and the positive impact she had on Millen PS.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy break – we look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for Term 2 on Tuesday 21st April.

Thank you to all the wonderful children, parents, and staff of Millen. I haven’t had the opportunity to personally thank each and every one of you for the many beautiful cards, messages, and kind words, but please know how deeply grateful I am. 💙

Your generosity and support have truly touched my heart.

It has been an absolute privilege to serve as Principal of this incredible school for the past 11 years, and I will forever carry the memories, lessons, and friendships from my time at Millen — I will miss everyone very much.

Wishing you all a joyful and restful holiday break and a wonderful start to 2026. 🌟 Thank you for everything; it has meant more than words can say.
