✨What a wonderful week at Piccolo!✨

We’ve had such a BIG week of celebrating, appreciating and acknowledging the amazing people who make our Piccolo community so special! 💛

We kicked off the week celebrating Early Childhood Educators Day** a beautiful opportunity to recognise our incredible educators and the passion, knowledge, creativity and love they bring to our children every single day. 🌿✨

And today, we celebrated our dads, father figures and special people in our children’s lives! 💙 Every room went above and beyond, creating incredible activities and experiences for our families to enjoy together. Our Back Room was also set up with some very yummy Father’s Day treats because the special people in our lives deserve a little spoiling too! 🥰🍪

🎂 We also had some birthdays to celebrate!
A very Happy Birthday to Manjit and Nelly! 🥳🎈 We hope you both had the loveliest celebrations!

And finally, we are so proud to officially acknowledge two very important members of our Piccolo team:

🌟Karen stepping officially into our Educational Leader role. Your knowledge, passion and commitment to supporting our educators and helping us continually grow and improve is so valued.

🌟 Jorja our Occupational Health & Safety Advisor. Thank you for helping us keep our team, children and environment safe, and for bringing your knowledge and practical thinking to our centre.

At Piccolo, we truly believe in embracing our people, recognising their strengths and creating opportunities for our educators to learn, grow and step into new possibilities. We are so incredibly proud of the people within our team and the amazing things they bring to our community. 💛

🌿🩷HAPPY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS’ DAY, PICCOLO!🩷🌿

Today we celebrate the incredible educators who show up every day with patience, passion, kindness and love, the people who help our children learn, grow, discover who they are and feel safe, supported and truly valued. 🥰

Early Childhood Educators’ Day is a special opportunity to recognise the dedication, knowledge and heart our educators bring to their work every single day. It’s about saying thank you for the little things that often go unseen, the comforting cuddles, the endless questions answered, the messy play, the songs, stories, laughs, learning moments, big emotions, tiny milestones and all the moments in between. 🌈📚🧸

✨And we would love our Piccolo families to help us celebrate our amazing team!✨

As you walk through the foyer this afternoon, you will see a special table set up for you and your children to write a little note, message or drawing for your educators. 💌

🌳 Once you’re finished, please use the Blu Tack provided to place your special message on our Educator Appreciation Tree.

The display will be here all day today and tomorrow (Thursday), so there is plenty of time to add your message.

You can also email us your kind words, messages or appreciation, and we will happily print them out and add them to our display for our wonderful team to see 🩷

Sometimes the simplest words mean the most, and we know these little messages will make our educators feel incredibly loved and appreciated.

📚✨AND THAT’S A WRAP ON BOOK WEEK 2026!✨📚

What an AMAZING week we have had at Piccolo! From superheroes and storybook characters to our incredible circus performances and our very own Michael Jackson spectacular, Our centre has been filled with imagination, creativity, music, laughter and, of course… BOOKS! 📖💫

Book Week is about so much more than dressing up. ❤️

Books help children listen, learn, imagine, communicate and understand the world around them. Through stories, children build language, develop their vocabulary, explore emotions, learn about different people and cultures, and begin to make sense of their own experiences.

Through storytelling and listening, children develop concentration and comprehension.

Through role play and dress-ups, they bring stories to life and explore different perspectives.

Through Imagination, they create their own ideas, stories and possibilities
Through conversations, they learn to express themselves, ask questions and share their thinking.
And through books, children learn that it’s okay to be different, to feel big emotions, to be curious and to dream BIG!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible educators, children and families for making Book Week 2026 at Piccolo, so incredibly special. What a week to remember! 🌟

Can you guess WHO everyone is and what our main theme is today? 👀🤔 There are some seriously creative characters that have been walking around Piccolo, and our amazing educators are bringing books to life in the best possible way! 🌟

Book Week is such a special time because we celebrate the magic of stories, imagination and a love of reading 📚❤️ It gives children and our Educators the chance to step inside their favourite stories, discover new characters, let their imaginations run wild and, most importantly, create wonderful memories around books.
