National Simultaneous Storytime 2026! 📚✨

Our students enjoyed this year’s wonderful story, "Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller" by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake Minton. Reading and listening together at the same time as schools, libraries and communities right across Australia!

National Simultaneous Storytime is a fantastic way to celebrate the importance of reading and literacy, while sharing the joy of stories as a whole school community.

A big thank you to Mrs Long and Ms Irving for their awesome reading🦘⚽

🎉 Reward Earned – The Kewdale Way in Action! 🎉

Our students have been working incredibly hard to demonstrate our WAPBS values of kindness, respect and resilience, earning tokens through positive choices, respectful behaviour and pride in our school.

We are excited to celebrate that students have now earned their THIRD whole-school reward! 👏

One of the best parts of our reward system is that student voice matters. Through our Pizza with the Principal meetings, students shared the rewards they would love to work towards ... and we have been listening!

✅ Extra Play
✅ Bush School
and....

Tomorrow, Thursday 28th May, will be a whole-school FREE DRESS DAY to celebrate the fantastic effort shown by students across the school. Students are allowed to wear free dress, appropriate for school and sensible footwear for playing and running

Thank you to our staff, families and students for continuing to live The Kewdale Way every day. We are so proud of the positive culture we are building together! 🖤🤍

🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Walk Ride to School Day 2026 🚴‍♀️🚶‍♂️

On Friday 15 May 2026, our students celebrated Walk Safely to School Day by walking, riding, and scootering their way to school!

It was wonderful to see so many students and families getting active, enjoying the fresh air and helping promote healthy lifestyles while reducing traffic around our school.

We would like to thank City of Belmont, Reading Cinemas and Cassie Rowe for supporting the day and helping make the event such a success. 💚

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the morning a fantastic community event!

A huge congratulations to our amazing Kewdale students for reaching our PBS Token Tower second target! 🎉👏
Students have been consistently demonstrating our school values of kindness, respect and resilience — modelling The Kewdale Way every day.
When asked what reward they would like, students overwhelmingly voted for extra playtime at Bush School — and today they enjoyed every minute of it! 🌿☀️
It was fantastic to see students exploring, playing, collaborating and enjoying time together outdoors. A well-deserved reward for students who continue to show what it means to grow curious minds and courageous hearts through The Kewdale Way.
Well done, Kewdale students — we are proud of you! 🖤🤍

Important Uniform Update

We would like to inform families of a small change to our faction shirt day for the remainder of the term.

As part of our new “Running for Factions” focus during the RAD Run Club on Wednesdays, students are now encouraged to wear their faction shirts on Wednesdays to help build excitement, participation and faction spirit.

Students will return to wearing their full school uniform on Fridays for the remainder of the term.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we make this change and look forward to seeing our students proudly representing their factions each Wednesday!

Mother's Day Activities
This week, Kindergarten EC1 enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day morning. Mothers and other special guests were invited to spend the morning being pampered and enjoying a range of activities with the children. The morning included manicures and pedicures, relaxing back massages, necklace making, Mother’s Day playdough creations, easel painting, a fun photo booth, biscuit decorating, and a special Mother’s Day song performed by the children. It was a joyful celebration filled with creativity, laughter, and special memories.
