Oh no!! Jump back on and ‘re-like’ the ANCOS page! Boo to the gremlins!!

The gremlins found their way into the ANCOS FB page, and we've had to start again. Rest assured we're still here, supporting music teachers across the country through conferences, Levels courses and PDs advocating for the Orff-Schulwerk movement in Australia.

This year, we're excited for the lead-up to Flow 2027, our national conference, hosted in January 2027 by QOSA Queensland Orff Schulwerk Association in Magandjin-Brisbane, along with Levels courses and PDs being held in numerous states in the Term 2 & 3 holidays.

Follow along to keep up to date!

If you’ve got any keen students who would like to play jazz in another big band out of your school we can highly recommend WAYJO NC!

Enrolments for WAYJO's Northern Corridor training band are now open. This is a non-auditioned training band for highschool aged kids that rehearses at St Stephen’s School in Duncraig on Tuesday Nights, directed by Jess Herbert. This is such a great program that sets up kids to play big band jazz, and they take the skills that they learn here back to their own school bands as well. We've had so many of last year's participants successfully audition for a WAYJO core band this year. If you know of anyone suitable, please send them to the link below.

ONE DAY TO GO!!!!

📣 Calling all music teachers! 📣

We know you'll be making brand new memories from tomorrow! But we wanted to ask you - what are your favourite memories of previous ASME WA Summer Schools?

For me, it was when Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse were catapulted into being our Keynote speakers at the last second one year. Gina gave the most amazing presentation and finished with her and Guy performing 'Moon River' in Noongar and English that brought me to full on tears streaming down my face. I was trying to control the massive ugly sobs because I didn't want my noises to detract from the video I was taking at the time, but I've never heard ANYTHING SO BEAUTIFUL as a room full of music teachers singing with Gina and Guy together. -Rhi # # #
