🤔 Do you have a passion for a subject or want to share your skills and expertise?
🔎 Kalamunda Community Learning Centre is on the lookout for some new courses (and tutors) for Semester Two 2026.
🫶 All our tutors are volunteers, just like every one of our members who assist in some way to keep Kalamunda Community Learning Centre flourishing. We value the skills of our tutors and we're extremely grateful to them for providing classes for our members. In turn, our tutors find it extremely rewarding sharing their skills and expertise, making new friendships and extending their social networks.
Here are just some of the courses we would love to see added to our programme:
> Artificial Intelligence: what it is, how to use it effectively, how not to be fooled by it.
> Photo Imaging and Editing Programs: for example, Photoshop and/or Canva.
> Computing: How to get the most out of your laptop/tablet.
> Photo Booking.
> Local Art Studio Visits.
> Local Garden Visits.
> Dancing (Tuesday morning availability only).
Or maybe you have something else that you would like to offer!
We currently have the following availability to add new classes to our programme:
> Monday AM (term 3 or term 4)
> Wednesday AM
> Wednesday PM (fortnightly)
> Thursday AM (term 3)
> Friday AM

Are you heading to the Kalamunda Annual Show on Saturday? Pop along to the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre stand and say hello, it'll be lovely to see some familiar faces!
This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase what we do, connect with the community, and welcome potential new members.
We'll be located just past the entrance to the Exhibition Hall, in the Heritage Corner, alongside the Kostera's bus display, the City of Kalamunda stand, wool spinning demonstrations, and buskers.
We look forward to seeing you there!

⚡️ Don't forget... members, we need your electrical items delivered to the Centre today (Tuesday 10 February) between 10am and 2pm that need testing and tagging ⚡️
As a reminder, any device that will be plugged into the power at the Centre needs to be tested and tagged. This is a yearly requirement: please check the date on your device's tag to see if it needs retesting.
Testing and tagging will be available at the Centre at a cost of $6/item.
You will only need to bring in the power cord/charger not the whole device unless the cord is attached. The labelled cord will need to be dropped into the office today (Tuesday 10 February) between 10am and 2pm. It will be tested Wednesday 11 February and can be collected Thursday 12th or Friday 13th from 9.30am to 12pm or once courses commence on the 16th.
After this date, we can no longer offer this service, and you will need to arrange and pay for the testing to be done privately.
