🚲🌟 Bike Day Fun at Village! 🌟🚲
Every Tuesday and Thursday, the children in our Creators, Discoverers and Explorers rooms at Village Early Learning Beaumaris look forward to our free exciting Bike Day program!

This free program gives all children the opportunity to bring their bikes or scooters and take part in a hands-on road safety experience. As they ride around our outdoor track, children practise crossing at crosswalks safely, stopping and looking both ways, navigating pathways, and even visiting our pretend petrol stations for a quick “refuel”! 🚦⛽
Our educators guide the experience by sharing important safety tips and modelling safe riding behaviours. Together, we talk about helmets, awareness of others, traffic signs, and why road safety rules are so important in our community.
Bike Day offers so many benefits for children. It supports gross motor development, balance and coordination, builds spatial awareness, and strengthens risk assessment skills. It also encourages responsibility, listening skills, and confidence as children learn to follow safety rules in a fun and engaging way. Most importantly, it promotes teamwork and cooperation as children ride and learn alongside their peers.
We love seeing our children grow in confidence while learning valuable life skills — all while having so much fun on wheels! 🚲💛

Today at Village Early Learning Beaumaris we celebrated Simultaneous Reading Day at our centre by sharing the wonderful story Luna Roo together! 📚🦘✨
All of the children joined in the fun, and our Discoverers and Explorers children even created their own special headbands to celebrate the occasion. We loved seeing everyone engaged, imaginative, and excited about reading together! 💛

Last week, our children had a wonderful opportunity to practise important road safety skills with our local community crossing supervisor, Terry. 👏 The children learned how to safely stop, look, listen and cross the road, while gaining confidence and understanding about staying safe in our community. A big thank you to Terry for taking the time to support our little learners and help make road safety both educational and fun! 🚸💛
