What a way to welcome the students back after mid semester break! First up, Donna Shepherd (International Chair for World Vision and Director of Creating Communities). Then, Steve Scrimgeour (Compassion Australia). And last but not least, Lee Grady (Author and founder of Mordecai Project). Common themes through the day, boldness and courage in acting and asking. What a day!!

Rabbi Sheryl was one of the first 200 women ordained as a Rabbi, and the only one in WA and the NT. Hearing from her regarding who Jesus is to her understanding and tradition was a great learning experience for us all!

The Catalyst students were hosted by The Honorable Nicholas Goiran MLC, Shadow Minister for Child Protection; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence, at Parliament House in Perth today. Hearing from him regarding culture, politics, business and the power of conviction. It was an honour and a privilege to be his guests today.

Blessed to have Morris and Barbara Stewart speak into our students lives. Their story has featured on ABC's Inside Story "The Choir Master" and their current work is the featured in the feature length documentary "Songkeepers", which documents the journey of the Central Australian Desert Women's Choir going back to Germany and singing to the communities the songs they were taught by missionaries, but in their native indigenous tongue. Humility, courage and presence is what they challenged us all with.

Three amigos set off in the dark of the morning to finish off the Central Australia Immersion watching the sunrise from Mt Gillen. The time in our Red Centre has breathed new life into us yet again 💛

In Catalyst, our assessments are designed to help make sense of all our experiences to enable us to put into action what it is we are learning. Students are working towards a Diploma in Theology, with new and exciting experiences (like this Immersion trip to Central Australia) along the way!
