Today, we said goodbye to our Room 40 demountable classroom, with a very special crane arriving to help lift and move it out! ποΈ
From Kindy to Year 6, students were absolutely fascinated watching the big move take place. There were plenty of excited faces and curious questions throughout the day as students watched the crane hard at work! π

β¨ Classroom Spotlight β Room 4 β¨
This year Room 4 has been buzzing with learning, creativity and fun as students make a smooth and gentle transition from Pre-Primary into Year 1 with Mrs Mallott. π Students are building confidence to have a go, developing a love of learning and supporting one another in a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
There has been lots of exciting learning happening across the classroom! Students have been exploring Talk for Writing and learning how to structure a recount, strengthening their reading fluency and comprehension skills, and using hands-on maths activities to build mental maths strategies in fun and engaging ways. π
In Science, students have loved investigating minibeasts and their habitats, while in HASS they enjoyed learning about the past through special grandparent interviews and presentations shared with the class. π΅π΄
A favourite part of the week is Investigation Time, where students can explore play provocation areas that spark creativity, imagination, problem-solving and social skills development.
Itβs wonderful to see students following their interests and learning through play as part of the AGPS Play-Based Learning Philosophy. π
