ππ’πππππ‘π ππππ§π¨π₯π & ππππ‘ππ // High Performance Surf Sports Coach, Rick Duncan will be presenting a coaching lecture on how to improve optical performance followed by a technical coaching clinic for ski paddling athletes 14 years β masters and coaches on Sunday, 19 June at City of Bunbury Surf Life Saving Club from 9 β 11am (approx).
The lecture will focus on psychological and physiological development, training program development, athlete accountability and performance revision.
The paddling clinic will focus on ski paddling biomechanics, FTP (Functional Threshold Power) set up and how to use power numbers in ergo training sessions for ergo session and training accountability, use of heart rates and FTP in Block Periodised training plan macro cycles and how it works.

TRI HOPE
We are proud to be working with Anna from Activana Fitness and XTR Tri Club who have developed this 8 week training program specifically for women who a post breast cancer treatment.
Exercise medicine has been a proven remedy for breast cancer survivors. This introductory program to triathlon is a fun, safe and inclusive environment where you can learn the skills of triathlon and put them all together with the Enticer tri at City of Joondalup Mullaloo triathlon.
Now here is where we need your help. If you know someone who is 6-12 months post breast cancer treatment PLEASE pass this information on. Share it, tag them, screen shot this post. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to take part in.
Program commences on 3rd Feb based around Joondalup and northern suburbs.

Congratulations to Louis Garner, Great Britain youth team captain at European lifesaving championships in Italy during September.GB youth team are again European champions with Louis leading from the front by winning gold in the ocean man (ironman) for the second time and Taplin relay team member. He also won bronze medals in tube rescue and pool line throw. Congratulations must also go to Millie Wiggins and Ellie McCloy, members of the GB youth team who are RDA athletes present and past on becoming European champions and medal winners in their specialist disciplines.

Hi All yes after 5 weeks of having to p*e into a bottle while laying on my back I am finally out and back in the sunshine after two small bleeds in the brain and a few staples to put it all back together. No long term disability although a bit slow at some things at the moment, some say
nothing has changed. Merry xmas to all and your extended families and I look forward to catching up soon.

They say that "the competitive strength of a surf club is determined by the depth of the members competing" and that really was the case at WA state titles last weekend at Scarborough beach. RDA coached girls made a big contribution to the Trigg Island surf club win with 21 gold, 18 silver and 16 bronze medals in teams and individual events over the 2 days of competition. Well done girls and we all look forward to you competing at the Australian championships in a few weeks at the same beach. Here is a photo of just some of those fantastic young women who are part of that squad.
