For those friends who didn't see my beloved Joy's post, I thought I'd do another one in case you hadn't heard the wonderful news.

It’s my pleasure to welcome to you the latest addition to the Jackson family. We have a healthy, happy little baby boy. We have decided to call him Jai Gabriel Jackson. We are blessed to have been able to birth this little angel at home and it has not been without dedication and strong resolve to make the home birth happen.

Joy had been listening to, and watching, hundreds of hours of free birthing podcasts, life-affirming birth stories and has been doing lots of deep inner work developing her capacity physically, mentally and emotionally to be able to deliver our babies earthside naturally at home without intervention.

We both know nature sometimes has it's own ideas about how birth happens, and it was important to Joy and eventually myself too that our baby was delivered as naturally as possible.

Early on I felt a little intimidated about the idea of having another home birth. The more work Joy did I felt better, and the more support I received from from our support team Joy felt better. Eventually I felt rock solid and in my conviction, that is was the right thing for us.

There was a lot of fear and trust I needed to embody to hold space on the day of the birth and I am so grateful I had the support of such amazing mentors in my life.

I have so much adoration, gratitude and respect for what Joy went through, not only going through nearly 12 hours of about 9 or so hours of intense labour with no drugs.

I've seen a lot of epic stuff in my life, but birth is the most extraordinary yet naturally beautiful things I have ever witnessed.

We both feel so grateful and blessed to have been able to receive our wish and have the birth at home.

I was blessed to be able to catch the baby as it came out into the world. I felt a truly proud and grateful father to be able to catch Jai as he came into the world.

We are blessed to have the amazing support of superstar Lianne Swartz, and our wonderful Doula Leann Alexander.

We were also blessed to have had the birth photographed by the amazing Lauren Heath.

It’s such an honour to be a father to 2 special boys.

It is also the most challenging thing I have ever done. It is also the most rewarding thing I have ever done!

Balancing life as a father is a great challenge, and I'm so blessed to be so supported by Joy.

A special thanks to Maryanne Jackson who came to visit us for a month to support us just after the birth. Mezza you are superhuman and we are so grateful for your love and devotion.

To all the families who cooked such hearty and nutritious meals in the meal-train, we are forever grateful! What a blessing it was to not have to cook in the weeks following the birth!

Jai is a little angel and is growing and progressing well! He's starting smiling and is making the cutest facial expressions. He is pure perfection!

I am so proud of Joy. She deserves a standing ovation and my degree of respect for mothers has reached new levels!

To all those Dads and Mums out there who are creating new lives... I salute you! xoxo

And to all the parents in waiting who are yet to be parents... what an equally beautiful, and wild journey you are in for.

Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes for last week! I had a great day celebrating an amazing first 40 years of my life.

It was also nice to feel forward to the start of what I know is going to be the most powerful, joyful, creative, loving and abundant decade of my life.

The last 40 years have been a true blessing. that I am so grateful for. There have been so many magical moments, and so many great adventures in my life.

Some of the things I am most grateful for in my life...

- I have been fortunate enough to be able to follow my heart and make a living from my passions.
- I am grateful to have the freedom to be the provider for my family and work from anywhere in the world.
- I have been blessed to travel to 42 counties
- I have been blessed to live in Bali
- I have been blessed to live in Maui
- I have an amazing family who love me dearly
- I have the blessing of becoming a father to 2 beautiful boys
- I have been blessed to be a husband to my amazing wife Joy Hope Jackson
- I have been blessed to study engineering at university
- I have been blessed to deeply study the fields of coaching, leadership, and business
- I have been blessed to visit Burning Man 4 times
- I have been blessed to be trained, mentored and coached by some of the most incredible beings on the planet
- I am so grateful for everyone in my family, especially my siblings and my amazing Mum and Dad.
- I am grateful to have amazing health
- I am grateful to have deeply connected friendships and have met so many wonderful people

For all those who have been part of my life so far, thank you for the blessing that you are!

My guess is that I am about 1/3rd of the way through my life and I'm getting better every day! I'm committed to the next 40 years are even more extraordinary!

Every day of my life I get wiser and better. So I am excited for the years ahead and looking forward to sharing it with such wonderful people.

One of the most important discoveries that humans seek, often unknowingly, is to know what their LIFE'S WORK is. The Japanese have a word for this concept called 'IKIGAI'.

Your IKIGAI (or LIFE'S WORK) can be represented in the graphic below...

My LIFE'S WORK is transformational coaching, teaching, and mentoring leaders to reach their highest potential. My work is also about awakening people about WHO they really are and WHAT their SOUL is really here to do in this life.

The way I discovered my IKIGAI was by continually seeking to work on my gifts and follow my passions.

I actually spent my entire life seeking my IKIGAI without consciously knowing what I was seeking.

So how do you FIND it?

1. Start with your GIFTS.
What you are good at are your 'GIFTS'.
Your gifts are made up of the following:

- Attributes,
- Qualities,
- Skills,
- Knowledge,
- Wisdom, and
- Abilities that allow you to discover, pursue, and master your LIFE'S WORK.

2. Cultivate your Gifts

Your gift is NOT something that you inherit at birth. It is like seed that you plant, that needs to be cultivated over time and worked ON. That eventually germinates. Only when you provide the conditions to nurture it does it eventually grow fruit. This means as a minimum, you need to do things like;

- Hire a coach,
- Invest in educating yourself, and
- Surround yourself with people playing at a higher level than you.

3. Never give up

Sadly, many people give up on their GIFT long before it's had time to bear fruit.

- Believe in yourself
- Don't listen to those who tell you to be realistic.
- Even when the going gets tough, keep going.
- You may feel like giving up. This is normal. Keep going.
- Listen to the small quiet voice inside you that is your soul it always knows what to do when you listen to it

Here is how I discovered my Life's work....

10 Years ago I took a gamble and clicked on a random Facebook ad for a life coaching course. I ended up speaking with a guy on the phone and a week later I invested $5000 on a 1-year life coaching course. I had no idea what coaching was. I really just wanted to help my friends out who were stuck and had a bad mindset about life and I wanted to learn more about human behavior. Mostly I just wanted to become a better human.

On the third day of my first live in-person training, I had an epiphany that coaching was exactly what I had spent my whole life searching for. Following that training, I cried tears of joy and gratitude that I had found my true calling. I signed up for the 3 year course and shortly after quit my engineering career and went all in to coaching.

I have gone on to express my gift supporting businesses owners all over the world revolutionsing everything IN their business by working directly with the owners working ON themselves.

FYI: Most of what I learned in my first coaching studies became mostly redundant and superseded by higher principles and teachings that received from private mentoring.

On the journey, I discovered 5 important principles that every human needs to know about discovering and refining their life's work...

1. Clarity comes after action, not before.

2. Confidence is not a requirement for taking action, it is a consequence of taking action.

3. Our Life's work is revealed when we dare to dream boldly.

4. Our Life's work is always evolving and deepening, there is no endpoint. And yes... The epiphanies keep coming.

5. If you ever get stuck on your life's work go back to point number 1 and continue the process.

Here are some of the examples of what I had to go deeper into to unlock my GIFT...

Insatiable curiosity - A willingness to listen beyond the words, and go deeper and deeper seeking truth.
Deep compassion & Service - Empathy an caring towards other people's suffering and desiring to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Clear Communication - A desire to express myself in the most precise and powerful way so that my words represent the highest expression of my intention.

Leadership - Showing others the way forward and being the example that others look to for guidance.

Emotional intelligence - A deep understanding of the nature of feelings and where they come from.

Language - A working understanding of the structure of language. Our language is the form that makes up the most fundamental building blocks of communication.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) - Understanding modeling strategies for success.

Psychology - Explaining and teaching how the mind works.

Psychotherapy - How to clear traumatic memories, integrate parts of the psyche and reprogram your beliefs.

Transformational Coaching - Creating a future for people that wouldn't otherwise exist without the coach.

Business - How the nature of business works, including offering outstanding value, world-class product development, over-delivering on quality of services, processes and systems, teams, branding, marketing, and sales, etc.

Psychospiritual Principles - Understanding the nature of consciousness with teachings such as the 3 Principles, and Non-duality and seeing how all of our reality is creted via our state of consciousness.

I am blessed to have several clients who are yet to discover what their life's work is. And they use coaching to help them develop their gifts. These clients know developing their gifts is the key to unlocking the door to their life's work.

I am also blessed to have other clients who already know their LIFE'S WORK, and coaching helps accelerate and deepen their mastery of their work.

I have one amazing client who manufactures pre-fabricated tiny homes in China and delivers them to Australia - Their life's work is revolutionising the housing industry to create a world where every person in the world has a beautiful home and funds empowering young men to develop themselves in the process.

I have another amazing client who supports parents of children with autism - Their life's work is showing parents of children on the spectrum how to live independent, thriving and fulfilling lives.

If you haven't discovered your gifts yet, start by following your enthusiasm and your gifts will become self-revealing.

If you haven't yet discovered your life's work, continue nurturing your gifts and looking for ways to make a difference, and your life's work will eventually become clear.

The world needs you and your gift!

Wherever you are on your journey... Always keep asking...

1. What do I LOVE most?
2. What subject areas am I the most enthusiastic about?
3. How would I like to make a difference in the world?
4. What can I do effortlessly that others really need?

One of the most sobering and also liberating realisations a business owner can have is that we personally are the bottleneck in our business.

I was interviewing one of my Clients who doubled their business profit from our work together and I asked them what was the biggest realisation that helped them increase their income?

Here was his answer....

"I thought that the business needed coaching, but it was actually me that needed coaching"

His answer is typical of what every coaching client discovers retrospectively after we begin our work. The great thing about coaching is it so multifaceted and multidimensional in how it creates results....

In an average day here are the problems I help my clients overcome...

- They are stuck (bogged down) IN operations and don't know how to remove themselves to free themselves up to work strategically ON the business to scale it.

- Growth and profit has stagnated because the owner can't scale the business in a way that doesn't rely on them.

- They realise they are the bottleneck, but they are overwhelmed and don't know where to start making changes.

- Can't get the best out of the team - Their biggest problem is people underperforming and not doing their roles fully

- They want do create a better culture, standards and communication but don't know how to create this or where to start.

- Don't know what to say or how to communicate effectively to get their team to follow them

- They want to scale their business but they can't do it without the right people

- They don't have a HR manager, in house coach or skills trainer to help their team reach their highest potential so they are left trying to be the in house coach themselves without the proper training or skills to be a leader or coach who is able to make the difference they want.

- They are already overloaded and busy running the business and they feel they don't have the skills or time to coach team members individually.

- They also don't know how to coach their team, so they are left frustrated by team members who have challenges they can't resolve easily.

- They could do a training course on coaching but that will take longer than hiring a coach to personalise their learning.

- They haven't got the right staff in place and they don't know how to create trusted lasting relationships with their team so that they stay and grow long-term.

here is what happens when we start working together...

- Have financial clarity on the state of business profit and cash flow (Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Forecast)

- Make strategic hires to do what they don't want to do to free themselves up

- Remove themselves from operations and shift gears to focus purely on overseeing strategy, leadership and team development

- Get to work on embodying and demonstrating the values and qualities they expect the team to have

- Acquire coaching and communication skills to be able to give effective feedback, have difficult conversations to help their team move through their challenges in a way that makes their team feel respected and appreciated.

- Train, coach and mentor the team with 1-on-1 conversations and group workshops and meetings

- Implement systems to track and monitor key metrics in the business and measure the performance of the team at the group and individual level

- Encourage and champion people to have the courage to have vulnerable conversations which develop trust. The business owner needs to be willing to set the bar extremely high around vulnerability and giving honest feedback.

- Be willing to have healthy conflict to explore solutions

- Have clear business goals that are tangible and measurable

- Have healthy conflict and robust discussions about action needed for the team to succeed

- Teaching team about integrity and understanding agreements that leads to powerful commitments and being their word

- Have a regular system for having meetings to ensure everyone is accountable for following through on their promises

- Foster a sense of team spirit by aligning the goals of an individual to the goals of the team making everyone feel like they are on the same team not competing against each other.

Ultimately we work strategically ON the business by getting the owner out of day-to-day minutia that drains their time and energy.

We deal with the emotional instability and stress that happens because of the unhealed and burdened inner parts of the psyche using integrative Psychotherapeutic modalities such as IFS and timeline therapy to do bottom-up (somatic) and top-down approaches for clearing trauma.

We emotionally release trauma to liberate someone from the imprints and emotional patterns of the past.

We activate new states of being that produce inspiring and forward-moving action.

We develop a clear strategy to create a team and systems to produce a consistent financial performance that is not reliant on the owner's time and effort.

We identify the key operational bottlenecks that stifle growth.

We remove fears and resistance from their day-to-day experience via deep insights into the nature of their own consciousness.

We get clear on the top priorities a business owner needs to focus on to grow.

We design the ideal organisation chart and processes needed for a business to thrive.

We redesign the leadership and management structures to help a team get the support they need to thrive.

We sequentially work through the layers of dysfunction of their own leadership to understand why the Culture is not where it needs to be.

The business is then redesigned and reconfigured at the mindset level as well as structurally to perform at sustained levels valuing the people in the organisation as the key to all its success.

I don't work with a business unless I can see an extremely high probability of success. Which is why before I work with anyone I do an appraisal of their business to determine the business case before proceeding with any coaching.

I don't do traditional sales calls... I just add massive value to potential clients and show people what is possible for them at no charge. It is up to them to decide if they want to work with me or not. If the ROI is not at least 5 times the investment I won't recommend we work together.

Over the years I have deeply contemplated the question "What is the purpose of life?"

I've read books, I've been coached, and also coached many of my clients on the topic.

There is a small problem with the question... "What is the purpose of life?"

And that is it attempts to condense the vast topic of purpose which is far too nuanced and complex to be adequately addressed in just a single question.

There are actually 4 simple inquiries at the heart of this question.

These 4 questions are connected in a simple way that simplifies the topic of purpose and gives you a clear way forward to make sense of purpose for the individual.

The first question is...

1. 'Why does the universe exist'?

Another way of asking this is; 'Why does 'existence' exist'?

The only answer that I believe matters is that the existence of a reality is the only reality we can consciously experience so therefore it is all we can know. The shortest and most simple answer... IT JUST IS.

The 2nd Question is...

2. 'Why did the universe create life'?

Again, similar to the first question discovering an answer to this philisophical contemplation is an intellectually stimulating but ultimately irrelevant idea. Whatever reason (if there was one) the fact remains that life exists.

Another question related to this is HOW did life come into being? This question is more directed to addressing the nature of how life works, distinctly different to understanding the reason(s) why the universe decided to allow life to come into existence.

My personal belief is that the universe simply creates every permutation of reality possible... Why? Simply because it can.

What I call Source (The infinite universal engine behind reality) doesn't need a logical reason or purpose for creating anything.

What if it just spontaneously creates all potentialities because it can. It is self-evident that the vastness behind source's creative power has no limit.

What if source's nature is simply to create.

The 3rd Question is...

3. 'Once life has been created, What is the purpose of Living Organisms'?

This question is an enquriy into the nature of biological living organisms. The answer is simple. The function of life is to sustain and propagate life. What distinguishes life from non-life is that all living systems reproduce themselves. So living organism have a purpose of surviving as long as they need to in order to reproduce.

The 4th Question relates to your own subjective experience...

4. 'What is the purpose of YOUR own life'?

Here is where the question has an opportunity to have a practical benefit to your life.

This is a subjective exploration for each individual.

Another way of asking this is 'What are those things that give your life a deeper sense of meaning and value?'

What gives your life VALUE is the real tangible opportunity for you to get to know yourself at a deeper level.

Let’s face it… There is often a big gap between what you DESIRE and the RESULTS you achieve.

There’s nothing wrong with this. The trick is knowing there's actually a creation process taking place that turns your DESIRES into RESULTS.

But unless you understand HOW this process works you’ll be wasting time, resources, and energy, and spinning your wheels and feeling frustrated at yourself wondering why you're struggling to achieve the results you want.

Here’s what’s really going on...

1. DESIRES,
turn into
2. DREAMS
which become
3. COMMITMENTS
which require
4. A WAY OF BEING
that gives rise to
5. ACTIONS
that produce
6. RESULTS

Creating what you desire first begins with using your imagination to visualise a new future that doesn’t yet exist. But just using your imagination on its own is not enough.

Your desires don’t become results without you first BEING the kind of person who gets on with creating their desires as a normal part of life.

Your way of being is the fundamental source of your actions, and your actions cause your results.

This quote from Werner Erhart is a powerful statement about the true power of being...

“Power doesn’t come from knowledge. What people know doesn’t make them powerful. It’s being present to what you’re dealing with that gives you power.” -Werner Erhart

Making a change at the level of 'who you are being' is the greatest leverage point for creating better results.

The key to being more resilient and committed to manifesting your dreams is to become aware of how we look at our challenges.

The ‘obstacle’ is simply the stage of the process that you haven’t yet mastered.

New challenges can feel like a struggle but this is only a sign to let you know that a higher perspective, level of skill or greater knowledge is required.

The solution to being disheartened by set backs is to cultivate an attitude of curiosity towards what perspective we hold towards our challenges rather than being drawn into indulging in stick emotions.

Here’s is how you transform obstacle into the way….

Allow yourself to create yourself as an observer
Feel the emotion.
Observe the emotion
Witness the dialogue of the story.
Notice the perspective or attitude present that is generating the emotion.
Distinguish your way of being.
Choose a new way of being.
Generate a new verbal declaration
Stand from the new declaration.

When you transform your obstacles into ‘the way’, you are well on your way to BEING powerful and free.

The words that you say after the phrase "I am…" have the potential to be the most important you could ever utter...

What comes after 'I am' is what the self identities are BEING.

'I am’

is equivalent to…

"The self that I know myself to be is…"

Therefore the words that come after the ‘I am’ are the foundation of what is to become your way of BEING.
The self that you experience yourself to be.

Examples might be:

I am a powerful leader
I am loving
I am free
I am committed

These are all powerful statements, but whilst words are powerful generators of frequency and possibility, it’s vital to look for the congruency between the words we say, our our feeling, our attitude, and our actions.

If there is incongruence between these dimensions of our experience then the words have not been fully embodied.

The words are the important initial starting point of creating a new self.
The embodiment of the words that come after the ‘I am’ form you way of BEING.
Your way of BEING is the real substance that creates your frequency, the words by themselves are just representations of what may be embodied.

Take a moment to explore how congruent your words, thoughts, feelings and action align in the moment when you are expressing anything and you’ll get to know how embodied you are in your BEING.

Words are the structure for creating a new being.
If BEING is the OBJECTIVE, words are the tools you use to design a new way of BEING.
New ways of BEING are cultivated by new repetitive actions big or small, and new perspectives, attitudes, world views and emotions are the lenses through which the actions produce more congruent and powerful ways of BEING.

The check for Embodied way of being comes from Letting go of your concepts of who you say you are and realising who you actually sense yourself to be real time by feedback from the totality of the information in your consciousness including your; Thoughts, Feelings, Attitudes, Perspectives, & Actions.

Anyone can tell themselves conceptually “I am… whatever they like, But to KNOW oneself experientially in complete congruence is true mastery of BEING.

One of the most memorable moments of being mentored over the years was when a mentor of mine paused our conversation and told me straight...

“Chris, I love you mate, but you gotta Stop taking yourself so damn serious and lighten the F #*k up!”

He was spot on. At times I get waaaaaay to serious and let the Joy get sucked out of life unnecessarily by being way too controlling.

You can still have high standards without needing to put the pressure of self judgement on yourself.

Laughter is one of the best medicines for all aliments mental, emotional and physical!

If you have tendencies of being a little too serious at times and get a little bogged down by life and how much you’ve got to do, or how difficult it is, or how stressed you are... then take responsibility for introducing a little more playfulness and laughter into your life.

The only one that can make your life have more lightness, humour and fun in you 😂

So pull that stick out of your arse, and take a moment to giggle and remember what it was like to be a kid again..: everyday!

Enjoy the ease that comes from letting go of seriousness!
