Point Break Australia

Being selected as an Education Agents to attend Aluminate – Celebrating a Night of Stars by Edith Cowan University (ECU) was a proud moment for me and the entire Break Australia team.

Every day, we help international students find study pathways that align with their aspirations, supporting them through decisions that can shape their future careers. One thought has stayed with me since that evening: the student who comes to us today with a thousand questions could one day be standing on that stage, sharing their own story.

Go Further.

Evenings like this remind us why we do what we do. ✨

🇦🇺 From 2 October 2026, the rules for applying for a Student visa from within Australia have changed.

✈️ WHV → Student visa: you must apply from outside Australia and also be outside Australia when your visa is granted.

🎓 Student visa → another Student visa: you can only apply from within Australia if you meet one of the specified exemptions.

Swipe through the carousel for the main scenarios. Other exemptions include PhD studies, primary and secondary school studies, DFAT/Defence sponsorships and cases where an education provider defaults.

These changes do not affect your current Student visa or applications lodged before 2 October 2026.

🎓 How do you choose the right course in Australia?

The cheapest or longest course is not necessarily the right one for you.

Before making a decision, consider:

📚 Your previous studies
💼 Your work experience
🛠️ The skills you want to develop
🎯 Your professional goals
🌏 How the qualification could benefit your future

Changing careers is possible, but your decision should be considered, credible and connected to the future you want to build.
