Our final Cafe Connect – Exam Prep session for Semester 1 was a fantastic way to finish the semester πŸ“šβœ¨

Students had the opportunity to meet our friendly Library representative and learn more about the programs, resources and academic support available to help them succeed during exams and assessments.

The session was not only informative, but also lots of fun, with students enjoying interactive activities, prizes, delicious food and drinks, and the chance to connect with fellow students in the relaxed Cafe Connect atmosphere πŸ’›

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us throughout Semester 1. We look forward to welcoming everyone back when our Semester 2 Cafe Connect sessions commence on Tuesday, 7 July 🌟

Last week’s Cafe Connect – Introduction to Sustainability was a fun and engaging session where students learned more about sustainable practices and simple ways to apply them to everyday life 🌱

A big highlight of the session were the fantastic hands-on activities prepared by Makerspace, with students enjoying making their own key rings, mini notebooks and more. As always, Cafe Connect provided a welcoming space to learn, connect and have fun together πŸ’›

Last week’s Cafe Connect – Cultural Awareness: Introduction to Indigenous Culture was a meaningful and engaging session at The Lantern, TL Robertson Library 🌿

Students had the opportunity to meet our Cultural Immersion representative and learn more about the rich culture, history and stories of Australia’s First Nations people. It was a valuable experience that encouraged reflection, understanding and connection, all within the welcoming Cafe Connect atmosphere πŸ’›

Last week’s Cafe Connect – Physical Wellness was a fantastic, high-energy session at Carnaby’s Cafe, Curtin Stadium πŸ’ͺ

Students had the opportunity to meet the Curtin Stadium team, Medibank and a Curtin Dietitian, gaining helpful tips on healthy eating, exercise and staying well. The session was full of fun and movement, with plenty of activities and competitions β€” from planking challenges and basketball to the ever-popular powered smoothie bike πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸ₯€

Of course, there was also delicious bΓ‘nh mΓ¬, great prizes and lots of laughter, making it another memorable Cafe Connect experience πŸ’›

Our last Cafe Connect – Essential Safety Tips for Students on Holiday was an informative and engaging session designed to help international students stay safe while exploring Western Australia during semester breaks.

Students learned valuable tips on holiday safety, road safety, and beach and swimming safety, gaining practical advice to help them enjoy their travels while staying safe and prepared. It was a fantastic opportunity to equip students with important knowledge before the break, all while enjoying the friendly Cafe Connect atmosphere, delicious food and great conversations πŸ’›

Last week’s Cafe Connect – Community Programs & Volunteering session was a great opportunity for students to explore ways to get involved on campus and beyond. Students learned about volunteering opportunities with Curtin Volunteers! as well as programs like chats and Leadership, helping them build skills, connections and confidence.
