Last week 12 Polly Farmer Foundation Follow the Dream students from Newton Moore Senior High School completed some team building activities and Off Ground challenges with Teamworks during their time in Perth. It was fantastic to see some familiar faces from last year’s program as well as some new ones, and we hope that the students found the trip valuable!

It was a pleasure working with the Seton Year 11 cohort on Monday & Tuesday this week. The students actively got involved in our challenges and the communication in each group vastly improved over the day. Thank you to Kate for organising and for continuing to include our services as part of Seton’s annual Year 11 retreat!

TDA had the pleasure of working with the Learning Support Program Staff from Churchlands Senior High School for their Professional Development Day last week. These staff have the incredibly important job of supporting those students who have additional learning needs, and the team discussed the importance of their effective collaboration in order to achieve the best outcomes for their students. Strong connections were made between our activities and the working environment and many of the attendees said that they found the session ‘extremely valuable’. We would like to thank Claire for the opportunity to work with the team and we look forward to the possibility of reconnecting in the near future for a follow up session.

It was wonderful to have the Deadly Sista Girlz at Perth HPC today and seeing them meet and work with DSG students from other schools.
Many of the girls took on our Off Ground challenges and we hope these can be a reminder that we can achieve things that we didn’t think were possible with some self belief and resilience.
Thank you to Megan & Fiona for organising and we look forward to the possibility of working with DSG and the Waalitj Foundation again in the future!
To end the first term of 2025, DSG decided to invite all the sista schools to a end of term HBF outdoor activities day!🤩

It was great to work with another group from Rio Tinto at our Mount Claremont facility in December. The MP&E staff demonstrated a strong team spirit whilst tackling our activities and the support they gave each other made for some successful outcomes. Thank you Marilyn for organising and we hope that 2025 has gotten off to a great start for the group!

Late last year we had a terrific day with the Year 6’s from Davallia Primary. Many students rose to the challenge of our Off Ground activities and we hope they can channel this ‘I can’ attitude when tackling the new challenge of high school! Thank you to Sam for organising this day and we look forward to working with Davallia in 2025.

TDA had a fantastic afternoon last Wednesday working with Year 9, 10 & 11 Follow the Dream students from Newton Moore Senior High School and surrounding schools as part of their trip to Perth. The genuine support and leadership shown throughout the day, particularly on our Low Ropes course was outstanding and the students were truly a pleasure to work with. Thank you to James for including us in the trip and we hope to see some of the students back again next year!
