A Special Father’s Day Breakfast.
What a wonderful morning we shared celebrating all the amazing dads, grandads and special father figures in our children’s lives.
Our Father’s Day Breakfast was a huge success, filled with smiles, laughter, connection and some very special moments. The children were so proud to present their fathers with the beautiful gifts they had lovingly made.
It was also wonderful to see our children and their dads enjoying activities together, creating memories and sharing precious time at our centre. From play and laughter to meaningful moments of connection, it was truly special to see the joy on everyone’s faces.
And of course, no breakfast is complete without delicious freshly made scones and a selection of fresh fruits.
Thank you to all our wonderful families for joining us and making our Father’s Day celebration such a memorable one.

From Bean to Growing Plant.
Our learners have been exploring the fascinating world of plants and growth.
Each child planted a bean and has been observing its development over time. Through this hands-on experience, they are learning about the different stages of plant growth, discussing the changes they observe, and identifying what plants need to thrive.
The children are also developing an understanding of the importance of caring for and nurturing living things. They are taking responsibility for watering their plants, monitoring their progress, and patiently observing new growth.
It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm develop alongside their plants. Amelia Sreet Early Learning

What a busy and exciting time of learning.
Our children have been super busy learning, exploring, creating and having lots of fun.
From our Teddy Bears’ Picnic, where we enjoyed friendship, imagination and plenty of teddy bear fun, to Science Week, where our little scientists explored, experimented and discovered how things work.
And of course, our much-loved Book Week Parade, celebrating the magic of books, stories and imagination with some fantastic costumes and plenty of smiles.
Every experience provides opportunities for our children to learn through play, build confidence, develop new skills and create wonderful memories together.
What an incredible few weeks of learning, laughter and fun. We can’t wait to see what adventures come next. Amelia Sreet Early Learning St Gerard's Catholic Primary School WESTMINSTER PRIMARY SCHOOL St Lawrence Primary School

Celebrating Science Week

Science Week is a wonderful opportunity for our children to explore, investigate and discover the world around them.

Our little scientists have been continuing to monitor the growth of their beans, watching with excitement as tiny roots and shoots develop. They are learning that plants need care, water and the right conditions to grow.

We have also been exploring what happens when plants are placed in clear jars with coloured water. The children are observing closely and making predictions as they discover how plants absorb water and how the food colouring can travel through the plant.

Through hands-on experiences like these, our children are developing curiosity, observation skills, early scientific thinking and a love for learning. Amelia Sreet Early Learning

Our little learners are making wonderful progress as they continue exploring the alphabet, and this week we are excited to focus on the letter M.

Through fun, hands-on activities, the children are learning to recognise the letter M, practise its sound, and discover words that begin with M such as moon, monkey, milk and mouse.

It’s wonderful to watch their confidence grow as they learn, explore and have fun along the way

Watching little minds and bodies grow is what early learning is all about.
This week, our children have been learning about body parts through fun, interactive, and hands-on learning experiences. From singing action songs and reading engaging stories to creating creative artwork and identifying different body parts, our little learners are developing their vocabulary, communication skills, body awareness, and confidence.
Understanding our bodies is an important milestone in early childhood, helping children build self-awareness, independence, and a greater understanding of how we move, grow, and care for ourselves.
We love seeing our children learn through play, curiosity, and discovery every single day. Amelia Sreet Early Learning

Our NAIDOC Week 2026 Learning Journey
What an incredible week of learning, discovery and celebration! Throughout NAIDOC Week 2026, our children embraced opportunities to learn about and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
From creating meaningful artwork and our beautiful collaborative tree to engaging in conversations about caring for Country, community and connection, our children explored the importance of respect, belonging and cultural appreciation through hands-on experiences.
We are so proud of the curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm our little learners have shown throughout the week. These experiences help build a strong foundation of understanding, inclusion and respect that will stay with them as they grow.
Thank you to our wonderful families for supporting us on this meaningful learning journey. Together, we continue to create a community where every culture is valued, celebrated and respected.Amelia Sreet Early Learning
