There is a sculptor that lives on the island of Kastelorizo and he is such beautiful old man that when I saw him I asked him to pose for me. This is the result of a 2 hour session. He is a bit reclusive and lives very frugally. We couldn't communicate very well but I felt such peace in his presence. The simplicity of a moment with a beautiful gentle soul who lives through his art and his solitude. They say the new definition of success is peace and this man had it in abundence. I left the painting with him and in gratitude he washed my brushes for me. Loved the gesture and the humility. His sculptures are beautiful

Just a fun little scene in gouache. These were acrylic guauche and I was trying to paint on a gessoed board so it was difficult. They dry very quickly and much darker.

Just a beautiful day of exploring and painting. Getting ready in my mind to teach. So many different artists with different skill levels to consider and find places that will suit a group.
The painting of the two houses in front shows the land mass or mountain behind and that is Turkey

Just finished our Dwellingyup retreat.
Loved every minute of it but especially loved painting Susan Sheppard taking some time out for craft by the fire. So love spontaneous ideas and the joy of trying to execute them💕

On their way to Hong Kong soon. ‘Wild West’ and “Whales playground’ are oil on resin peelings sourced by Christophe Domergue. This is part of a collaborative exhibition called Confluence to be exhibited in Hong Kong in May this year

So very very heartbroken to say goodbye to this beautiful companion of 14 wonderful years. She was a soulmate, playmate and a wise loving friend who could communicate everything and anything. You always knew how she felt although I suspect her stoic acceptance of pain kept us a little oblivious to the depth of it. She was laid to rest yesterday.A deep sad loss for Jaimie and I who were lucky enough to know her and love her. Rhett has her now.
