The best playground in the world is always in my opinion, the ocean. These beautiful little sisters are from one of my photoshoots. The funnest shots happen once my camera is supposed to be back in its bag, but I always keep it on me way longer just in case. Capturing natural play is when the magic happens.

A few weeks ago at Greenhills art Centre near York I taught a three day interiors Workshop.
This little scene caught the late afternoon sun so I painted most of it from life trying to catch the sun. Last week in Bali this white cat was lying around sleepily and I decided it was the perfect addition to this Painting.

A high key painting that is really pushing this backlit figurative scene to its sparkly limit. Using pure tube yellow to imitate that early morning hit of sunlight, trying to keep the shadow areas as simple as possible

Starting some bigger pieces. Working towards a summer exhibition. This one is 90 x 90 cms and I was going for a simplified complementary colour scheme to emphasise the light on the mom’s dress.Hopefully it all ties together in a harmonious way.
