Polish Dance Group - Kukułeczka Inc. of Perth. Showcasing Polish culture through folkloric dance & performing arts. All are welcome to join.

Kukułeczka has been showcasing Polish folkloric dance and culture since 1991, with an enthusiastic, dedicated, and energetic group of youthful Polish dancers. The group strives to uphold Polish folklore and culture within the community of Perth through song and dance, and always do so with a profound sense of pride. The group rehearses every Friday between 5:30pm and 10pm at the Cracovia Club in Beechboro.

🏔️🇵🇱 PolArt Adelaide 2025 Throwback! 🐦

Time for another look at one of our performances during the recent PolArt in Adelaide — this time representing a region from the Polish highlands, Podhale!

The Birds had the opportunity to learn from real górale in Zakopane a few years ago, and we wanted to recreate the traditions, the dynamic spirit and the vibes in this choreography, sweetened with a little storyline based on the lyrics of Piyrso Godzina. 🐦🎶

Before the dancing even began, two of our dancers took on the role of resident comedians, warming up the crowd with a short skit and getting everyone ready for a trip to the Polish mountains! 😂🏔️ Who remembers the line "Jędrek, ja nie mówię po polsku!"?

This performance was extra special because our dancers were accompanied live by our very own Kuku Kapela! 🎻🪗

🐦🇵🇱 The Zabawa preparations have officially begun! 🇺🇦💃

Our first Kukułeczka x Roztiazhka joint rehearsal is in the books! The dancers have been busy putting together something special for the 10th Polkrainian Zabawa — and if this rehearsal is anything to go by, you're in for a fantastic night! 🎉

Polish and Ukrainian dancers coming together, new choreography, plenty of energy and, of course, a whole lot of dancing! 💃🕺

35 Years of Kukułeczka — what a celebration! 🐦🇵🇱

Our 35th Anniversary Ball brought together generations of our Kukułeczka flock — dancers, families, friends and supporters — for a night full of Polish culture, music, dancing and plenty of memories.

From the moment the doors opened, there was no shortage of tańce, śpiewy i dobra zabawa! 💃🕺 From our performances and singing to the sounds of our Kapela, it was a night worthy of 35 years of Kukułeczka.

We’re still looking back at all the wonderful moments, so here are a few of our favourites from the night. Get comfortable, spread your wings and take a little trip down memory lane with us! 🐦✨

💍 A little Kukułeczka has flown the nest… sort of! 🐦❤️🤍

Last weekend, our flock had a very special reason to spread our wings and head to the magical Nanga Bush Camp — to celebrate the wedding of our beautiful dancer Karoline and her new husband, Brandon! ✨

And really, what is a Kukułeczka wedding without a little Polish folk mischief? 🇵🇱

Our dancers were honoured to perform Lublin for the newlyweds and their guests, bringing a little hej! and hop! to the bush before roping everyone in for a few dance tricks of their own. 💃🕺 Because once the Polish folk dancers arrive, apparently nobody is safe from being dragged onto the dance floor. 😉

Karoline, we’ve watched you dance your way through plenty of choreographies over the years, but we think you’ve found yourself the perfect partner for this next one. ❤️ May married life keep you both dancing in step — or at least laughing when somebody inevitably goes the wrong way!

From your whole Kukułeczka flock, we wish you a lifetime of love, laughter, adventures, and plenty of reasons to kick up your heels together. 🐦

This week, some of our intermediate dancers had the privilege of performing Kujawiak at the 2026 Outstanding Community Language Teacher of the Year Awards, hosted by the Office of Multicultural Interests in partnership with Community Languages Western Australia 💃✨

We are so proud to have represented the Polish community and shared our culture at this wonderful multicultural celebration 🇵🇱 Congratulations to this year's award recipients, and thank you to the Office of Multicultural Interests and Community Languages Western Australia for inviting Kukułeczka to be part of such a special evening! 🙌

Brawo to our dancers for another beautiful performance. 🤩 You were wonderful representatives of our group and our culture! ❤️🤍
