Meet our Owner & Centre Director - Claire Kilian

Claire has spent over 20 years in early childhood education and genuinely still loves what she does (especially the baby cuddles and watching little personalities shine ☺️).

She’s hands-on, knows the children and families and is usually found checking in with educators, chatting with parents or spending time with the children, because that’s where the real magic happens.

As a mum of two girls, Claire brings both professional experience and a parent’s heart to everything she does, understanding firsthand how important trust, connection and communication are when choosing care for your child.

Claire is passionate about creating a warm, home-away-from-home environment where children feel safe, loved and supported and where families feel truly welcomed and heard.

As we step into a new year, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our families and the wider community for their unwavering support throughout the past year and would like to express the excitement we have for the year ahead. We cherish the milestones that make MELC truly remarkable, and we eagerly look forward to nurturing the growth and educational development and care for the children that are part of and will join our MELC family as we embark on this fresh chapter. MELC - a home away from home is filled with awesome opportunities in 2026.

Our children love spending time with our bunny, birds and quails. Feeding them, collecting quail eggs and giving them plenty of gentle love.

By involving children in caring for our animals, we nurture responsibility, empathy and important life skills that grow every single day.

At Bunnings Sausage sizzle a young lady (Esther) turned up with a gift from the kids at the Morley Early Learning Centre for Men's day. Banana muffins, it made our day. 😀

Morley Early Learning expressed its gratitude to the team at Men's Shed today by baking cookies, which will be delivered as a token of appreciation for their steadfast commitment to the community. Fostering a sense of community in our children is integral to our values and involving them in an experience like this is heartwarming.
