THE BEAUTY OF DJERAN 🍂
As we approach the last few days of the Noongar season of Djeran, we have been slowing down to notice the changes in the natural world around us. Through careful observation and conversation, the children collected fallen leaves and explored their changing colours, wondering about the stories they tell of the season.
Using these gifts from nature, we worked together to create a beautiful mandala, discovering patterns, symmetry, and connections along the way. This experience invited us to deepen our relationship with Country, nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a sense of belonging within the natural environment. 🍃

IN THE SPIRIT OF ANZAC: A week of remembering and becoming ♥️🖤
Across our classrooms, we engaged with ideas of respect, care, bravery, and kindness not as distant concepts, but as values we can live each day. The children expressed their understandings in many ways: creating poppies as a shared symbol, and thoughtfully ‘planting’ them together in our poppy garden.
We were also honoured to welcome Navy Veterans, Sir Jeff Simes and Sir Sam Hogg, to Nido Palmyra, creating space for connection, curiosity, and storytelling. The children asked thoughtful questions, listened deeply, and explored with their senses trying on hats and uniforms, and carefully holding medals that carry stories of service.
Through these shared experiences, we continue to nurture empathy, gratitude, and a sense of belonging to a wider community.
Lest we forget.

EARTH DAY 🌍 REFLECTIONS AT NIDO PALMYRA 🌊
Over the past few weeks, our children from classroom 6 have been exploring how we can care for our environment particularly our oceans. Through meaningful discussions on waste segregation and reflections on what belongs (and doesn’t belong) in the ocean, the children shared thoughtful insights on how we can help protect sea animals and their habitats.
Zoom in to see their thoughts 🩵
Let’s keep learning, caring, and growing together with our children and our planet 🌍

Our 2026 Kinder Graduation T-shirts have arrived! ✨
As part of their stitching journey, our kindy children carefully stitched their own names onto their shirts thread by thread, strengthening their sense of identity and belonging.
In true Reggio spirit, this process celebrated each child as capable, creative, and deeply connected to our learning community 🌱
We are so proud of our children and the stories they carry with them.

🌿 Celebrating Easter at Nido Palmyra 🐣
Easter provocations were thoughtfully offered across all classrooms, inviting curiosity, wonder, and meaningful exploration.
In the spirit of creativity and collaboration, our Kindy 2 children brought their ideas to life by stitching their very own Easter Bunny, an expression of patience, care, and growing capability 🐰
Together, our Nido Palmyra community voted to name our bunny “Chocolate Head”, honouring the voices and contributions of our children and team.
Wishing all our families a Happy and fruitful Easter ✨
