This week, our children explored love, gratitude and connection as they thoughtfully created handmade gifts for the special men and father figures in their lives.

Each creation was unique, a little expression of love for the people who nurture, guide and make them feel safe and loved.

BOOK WEEK 2026 at Nido Early School Palmyra 🩵

What a beautiful week of stories, imagination and self-expression! Our children spent the week sharing their favourite stories, bringing beloved characters to life and expressing their ideas in so many different ways. 🎭📖✨

Inspired by this year’s theme, Symphony of Stories, we celebrated the power of stories to connect us, spark our imaginations and give every child a voice to share their own. 🌿❤️

This weekend our ESM Claire got to run alongside Backyard Ultra world champion Phil Gore who is running 6.71 kms on the hour every hour for 168 hours to raise funds for Telethon, a charity very close to our hearts.

NIDO EARLY SCHOOL PALMYRA OP SHOP TSHIRT👕🧦👟

We turned our collection of lost property into a little op shop for our families! From jumpers and socks to shoes and other forgotten treasures, families were invited to browse, reuse and take what they needed.

A simple experience with a bigger purpose, encouraging sustainability, resourcefulness and community while giving items a second life. ♻️💚

It was lovely to see families connecting, sharing and finding something useful along the way.

Pyjama Day at Nido Early School Palmyra 🩵

The children spent the morning exploring the textures of their fluffy dressing gowns, comparing slippers, and nesting together in cosy spaces. It was beautiful to listen to stories about their homes, their bedtime routines, and the special toys they sleep with.

Bringing these pieces of their home lives into our service created a deeper sense of belonging and connection.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to our families for your kind donations. Through this shared experience, our little ones are learning what it means to extend our warmth and care out into the wider community ✨

✨NIDO PALMYRA COMMUNITY GALLERY✨

This NAIDOC Week, every classroom has been immersed in meaningful, project-based explorations celebrating the rich cultures, histories and stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through art, music, nature and shared conversations, our children expressed their thinking, curiosity and respect in many different ways.

Our veranda has been transformed into a vibrant Community Gallery, where children's learning is made visible for all to see. More than an art display, it is an invitation to connect, reflect and celebrate alongside our children and community.

Whether you're dropping off, picking up, walking by or simply passing our service, we invite you to take a moment to wander through the gallery and experience the incredible learning journey our children have shared.

Together, we celebrate the voices, cultures and continuing stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples this NAIDOC Week. 🖤💛❤️💙💚
